    What are you working on?

Merry Christmas, Moparnut-suckers! Imported a Mitsubishi from out of Province, since a relative was going to return the Leased SUV to the dealership, rather than pay $8000 to own it. A 4 year old vehicle with 60,000km... So I said I'll buy it out and have it transported over. All done, not...

    Used squad cars

Honestly, I haven't considered a newer Mopar in years. We daily drive a Civic and a Rav4. The only Mopar we have now is 50+ years old.

    What are you working on?

Pinot Grigio on the right, a week away from filtering and bottling. Gewurtztraminer on the left in primary fermentation, 2 days in. Makes 30 bottles per batch, and all the hobby consists of is constantly sanitizing everything, then waiting.

Thanks, looking at some devilbiss stuff but no idea what is decent. Also, my 20 gallon compressor only does 5.2cfm, so would likely need to upgrade that. Ah well, painting is a long way off anyways

I was looking at some 3m equipment on amazon. No idea if this is any good, but the reviews look great for someone into garage sprayed restorations. At some point, I'm going to try my hand at painting more than just a fender. Is this just more junk? : 3M hvlp sprayer

I'm in no big rush, but it's good to know there are plenty of options out there. Took the 3 year old to McDonald's today, and a pretty 20-something girl walked in asking if that was my cool car outside. Kid had the biggest happy meal-eating grin on her face when I said "yes, it is"...

Thanks, Jass. Yeah, the amount of leg work and shipping/cross-border costs make it a wash. I may be best off finding a rusted out V8 donor locally, and swap out what's necessary. Slant will do for now

If I remember correctly, you're in Oregon? That's not too far, may have to buy some parts off you in the future. I better look into the collector plate issue, if I modify the engine, it may have to be reported to the insurance company, yadda yadda. Don't want to lose the cheap collectors insurance.

You guys are right, my kids will get to enjoy rides in Goldmember until I start pulling it apart. Will have to figure out my plans for it in the next few months, and start accruing parts necessary for the build. As for the 3 year old, we'll be working on a project car when she gets a bit older...

That's a really nice colour. Is there a huge difference between a thousand dollar gun and one that costs half that?

    Jester's Progress...

Not sure. Why do we do what we do when we do what we do hanging out late with no curfew? I was always planning to completely tear the car down and start from scratch at 0 miles, but you're right, ignoring the odometer is probably the way to go. Will collect necessary parts before pulling the...

Replaced the oil switch/sender thing, and the oil light hasn't come back on. Been bombing around in Goldmember quite frequently, picking the 3 year old up from daycare and she loves it. "I want daddy to pick me up in his old car!" I'm enjoying the old slant and have an engine hoist and stand...

    someone come get it

I'd be all over it if I had the time to work on it, but probably don't have the welding skills required, anyways. Looks like a super cool ride

I can cobble something together from brass npt fittings. Slant pressure senders/switches thread into a 3/8" npt hole in the oil pump. Not a lot of room, but can probably make it work. For now, I'll just toss in a new switch for the light and see how it works. I have no old gauge or tester to...

Was it the #5 cylinder? Heard that's usually the first to go during oil starvation on a slant 6.
