no seriously someone come get it..its far too tempting, and ive got 2-3 sets of full rails n floor depening on what it needs
i was hunting for a friend a car for under 2k as a temp, since the trans went out suddenly..and this popped up......

It's funny how bad the floors are with such a good exterior. Typical convertible, I suppose. It's a ton of work but the buy-in is pretty reasonable. It should go pretty quickly.

That is a pretty cool car...looks like it might have been some sort of silver? But the slanty with a column shifted 3 speed is amazing...I love it!

i litteraly have entire floor and rail sections from 3 parted out fish..hell ive got EXCEPTIONALLY clean front end,,,IE it was cut off behind the T bare frame section and lopped off at the bottom of the pillars....the battery box drain hole isnt even rusty, and 2 complete rear rail n trunk sections.....yeah i know the darts a lil longer, but looking at where its rusty i have the metal

if i had the cash to burn and the space...i would have to take a serious look at it.....its not on my list, but id imagine de-rusted and restored it would bring a pretty penny.....when was the last time you even saw a dart vert?
the irony for me is that its a 68 vert a body.......remember i kept my 67 fastback and 67 coupe and have said many times..the missing piece is a 68 vert.....guess i shoulda been more specific that it needs to be a fish...but damn
all said the the lust for a vert is gone..ive got my RC..its vert enough

It looks like code T green to me, pretty faded in some places, but the engine bay looks darker than F. It matches up with the green interior. Here's a T-code '68 'vert of more-desirable proportions:

Looking at the dash, that top's been down a looooong time. I've never seen one rusted like that still in the car. Also curious is the bench seat. Buckets were part of the GT package, although I've no doubt one could replace them with the couch.

but a GT with a slanty?...makes me think its no gt which makes the bench make sense

funny thing, the ONLY fish vert ive ever seen for sale...in person....made this dart look rust free

The GT option was the top-level trim package: Bucket seats, deluxe interior appointments, special badging and trim. It did not affect the powertrain in any way, so it could be had even with the 170-cube six.

From the little I understand of the GT option, most were slant engines, and the biggest option was the 318.
They were available with a bench, with GT upholstery. I bet the bench is rare,as is the tree stick.

$2000 is an excellent price as long as the roof frame is in good shape.

I'd be all over it if I had the time to work on it, but probably don't have the welding skills required, anyways. Looks like a super cool ride
