Kinda back to square one, Go out today & start her up, geeze the gauge is reading just over 4, hasn't done that in awhile, so I play with the adjustment which is almost all the way in, this reg. is supposed to be from 4 to 10LBS.
Would not go up much, so I set it at 3, let her run awhile it then dropped to 1 & even lower, barley over zero, the idle speed or sound of the engine never changed.
So I'm like I can't trust this thing, remembered I had an in line gauge somewhere, dug around a bit & found it, removed the reg. & put that in started her up & running around 7.
Still no response from the carb adjustment screws, it did stall when I covered the top of the carb, checking the vac leak deal.
Pulled a plug before I took the test drive.



took the test drive, actually seemed to idle a little smoother, no big clouds of smoke, went on some main roads so I could at least do 45-50.
Kickdown worked again & got another nice chirp
Cooled it down a bit & piled the plug again, doesn't look terrible to me, I'd say the exhaust stinks a bit more, but no big black clouds, some gray puffs.
