72 Challenger R/T/A

I did mention the spring was MIA, but like you said, with both you should be fine, I have the belts but they are faded badly, so if a decent pair shows up(cheap) I'd go for it.
Been playing mr mom for almost a week now, the wifeys back went out last fri, she's barley mobile but enjoying some of xl's perks(the pills that is:dgt: ) & some muscle relaxent. If this goes on much longer I'll gonna share the pills with her!:toot: Rich.
o-man-- i am sorry to hear this. i really understand how it goes. everyday it starts over again. and nite time is not the greatest. ask your dr for MS-CONTIN and ask for 15mg .twice a day or 3 a day, these are a 12 hour slow release pill. and for breakthru pain ask for SUPEUDOL 5 mg.1-2 pills tablets every4 hours when needed.this should help out. and have a hot bath or shower rite on the spot where it hurts. it will help. and they are now useing LYRICA - 75 MG2 PILLS 2-3 TIMES A DAY...the Lyrica is a new idea. it was used for something else and now use it for pain. it will help you stretch. it is for scar tissue which no doubt happens when you have back trouble. also helps the SCIATICA to stretch. it will help with the back to leg pain.. --- i am not a DR but i live with it everyday-- i take roughly 25 pills a day depending on how bad i feel. some days i dont get out of bed. and days when i cant sleep which is most of the time. and when i am outside it is a good day and then i am down for the count for a couple of days .. but enjoy it when i am out there. ---- hope this helps.. . :):helpme: ps- these are some of the pills i take- so if you add these up then you can see why i take so many..ms-contin is 360 mg /day and supidols 50 mg,s / day and lyrica600 mg,s / day and then the others...if i didnt take the stuff i would,nt be able to walk.. -- good luck

I hope I didn't sound like I was complaining about the springs Rusty. Far from it. I was just trying to describe the current condition so the description of the remedy would (hopefully) make sense.

BTW: The wheels showed up today.:giggedy: The pics don't do them any justice. THESE THINGS ARE FRICKIN HUGE!!!

PS: Hope the missus feels better soon. It sux when you can't live a normal life due to pain. :(

For some strange reason it just caught my eye, must be all this mr mom chit makin me over-observent!
Pics of the fat skins are a must! :gaga:
I put the fatties from the 74 on the 73 & the little rallies on the 74, car looks like it sunk into the ground, 15" rallies will be a must when the time comes! Rich.

Pics first, post later...;)

No... You spy a big 450 Yammy.:shifty:

Remember the one I told you about with the hole in the engine big enough for me to fit my hand inside?[smilie=2:

I waterjetted a bunch (2ea in 1/2", 3/8", 1/4" and 1/8") of simple wheel spacers to be able to test fit the wheels.

I need a 1" wide spacer in front to get the front tire to clear the UCA. I don't see any other problems with the fit up front.

The rear will also require a 1" spacer to clear the springs and fender lip (1/4" clearance on each side) until I can get the 3" relo kit installed. Once that's in place, I'll only need a 3/8' to 1/4" spacer to center the tire in the wheel well.

At least 1" longer wheel studs all the way around will be necissary.

Yup, I got one at the Lone Star Shootout show. I also picked up a 70 ebody washer bottle (elec pump type), a 70-71 ebody headlight adjuster screw and spring kit and a trunk floor fuel filler neck seal thingy.

I spent more there than I made on the parts I brought to sell.:doh:At least my fuel for the trip was paid for. I brought a Cuda back from up there for a friend and he covered my fuel for the weekend.:giggedy:

Side question, how much pressure do you need to cut metal with a water jet? Gotta be unholy amounts. [smilie=d:

It's supposed to be 50,000psi +/- 2,000psi when running in optimal condition. The water stream is about the same width as a mechanical pencil lead insert (about .5mm).

:hmmm: Nope, I can't pee that hard....:(

Awesome. :) What do the edges look like, all nice and purdy?
They almost look like they've been snad blasted with heavy grit. There are sometimes very small vertical ripples following along with the path of the jet stream.

Ask The 340 Bros or XL. They've seen some of my waterjet work first hand....:toot:

Wheels look great GoMo!!!!

I wonder if that wheel/tire combo will fit my jeep??? :toot:

I can't figure out why I keep getting dirty looks from across the room, [smilie=f:oh sh.....

well????

hows the car going Paul?? i havent been here in a while, as soon as i DL some pics i will post about my Dart project that went underway.... stay tuned!

:bravo:

I've been a little busy with getting the bikes ready to give to the kids back in MS over the Thanksgiving holiday vacation. Had to rejet the new carb on the XT225 a few times before it was finaly right. Still sportin the muffler burn on top of my left hand from trying to adjust the pilot screw while it was still hot.

If you check out the "All washed up" post over in the General Admission section, you can see what I've been doing for the last week or so. :toot:

I want to pull the busted windshield this week so it will be easier to remove the dash. From there I'm going to start replacing the rotted metal part of the inner cowl where the dash vents come through. Then while I still have the welder out, I'm going to be patching the holes in the trans tunnel. That should complete the last of the actual metal "repair" on the car. Any other welding after that should be for modifying stuff like the 3" spring relo kit.

Still nothing new to report on the R/T/A. The boat has been getting all my attention while the weather's still cooperating.

I DID however find this little gem while surfing the weeb ---> http://www.retrotekspeed.com/products/bossefi/bossefi-wfuel-system/bossefi-with-fuel-system.html

And if that's not enough, they also offer this paddle shift system as well ---> http://www.retrotekspeed.com/produc...hift-with-f1-paddles/3-5--6-bolt-paddles.html

I'm gonna have to start putting more pennies in the Chally fund jar...

Not much new going on here lately. I did get the windshield trim off yesterday and started to scrape off about three different kinds of sealant (solid rubber, black gooey goop and some hard yellowish stuff) from around the edges. At least from what I can see so far, it looks like that crap at least kept the metal from rotting out around the winshield. I won't know for sure though till I get the rest of the goop out and pull the winshield completely out. Then I can clean the frame under the glass and see how solid it really is in there.
