70 Sport Satellite build

I agree...the flat back with the bright trim looks good. Are you going to run black steelies with dog dish caps as well?
Damn right! The tires go on Wednesday. It's a minor detail, but I threw on a cheap ass set of seat covers today, and I'm shocked at how well they match both the colors and contours of the original interior.

I will not be a victim. Same reason I keep a .45 close.[smilie=::[/QUOTE]
Hell yea!!! Going for my CHL as soon as I get all my ducks in a row!!! Not that I really need it in Texas, because if you can buy a gun legally, you can carry it loaded within hands reach in your vehicle! Unlike socialist NJ, where it CAN"T be transported loaded, and it HAS to be locked in a case! No wonder there is so much crime up here, only criminals carry weapons...

Word to the wise: I would not recommend installing a fully loaded (brackets, lights, guards) B body front bumper alone to anyone of poor cardiovascular health.

LOL those are heavy...i had one laying around for a while from a 69 runner...but try doing a 71 caddy bumper..front or rear

Everything happens for a reason. I hesitated to pull the trigger on buying 4 new tires for the car. Why? I just had a feeling I may need the money, then last Tuesday I couldn't get my 06 Ram into gear. The shop informed me that the clutch had failed, following the duo mass flywheel failing. I don't quite know what caused it, because I mostly use the clutch to put it into gear & get moving, then shift without it, plus the truck only has 50K on it. Unfortunately, this means another large bill, and the Sport Satellite sitting for another freakin' year.:( Such is life..

Ahh that sucks man.

Another fellow I know was just about to get the interior done in his car and his central A/C went down, so at 102* during the day and 95* at night he has to spend his interior money....:(

A/C budget got cut into as well. Eh, another season with fans. The car did do a couple of wicked burnouts yesterday, though.:shifty: The neighbors have family show up with nice cars for Hot August Nights every year, and they wanted to see the car run.:D

That looks totally badazz painted up. Save the caps for grandpa's car and go without them, makes your car look mad as if it's looking for a fight. Sweet.

I couldn't help it. I had to get the car on the road, plus the tires were a deal not to be passed up. The fronts are a set of take off 225's, and the backs are new BFG 275's, and it looks plain menacing. I love me car.:) BTW, A12 is right. Fook the poverty caps! Without 'em, it looks like doom on wheels. Even if it is dirty.

I couldn't help it.

You have no self control.......

It's about time!! :D

That looks fantastic.

Dirty? What? Are you parking it in your living room or driving it?

*loads Reno news page to watch for reports of mass hysteria caused a marauding menace*

I liked the dog dishes better, but that's just me. I also think you should go to a wider front rim... just opinions, mind you.

AS much as I like the look of the plain black steel rims with chrome lug nuts, I have to agree with Doc, and say that the dog dish caps would look better. IMO....;)

Well, I've nothing to lose by putting the caps on & checking it out. The fronts are 15X6 H wheels. A different tire choice up there could make a world of difference.

I think the tire choice is great, but they look pinched on the skinny wheels. Personally, I'd run a 15x7 '80s M-car wheel.

Again, personal preference. A friend ran something like a 195/80 on C-body 15x4 (I think) spare-tire rims, and it looked fantastic... with dog dishes. :D

The front tire is just a tad too tall, and would look better wider. Just a little less sidewall and a bit more contact patch would help. For now, this is what's in my budget, so I'll live with it. Good first glance observation, though. I thought the same when I looked at it, followed by, "eh, what the hell".:D
