70 Sport Satellite build

Ahhh that sucks...I love those stainless "Plymouth Division" dog dish caps, and since they are the correct ones for your 70 Plymouth as well. I had those caps and steelies on my 70 Sport fury...loved the look!!

I may be in touch with you soon. Caps?
Nope... no caps unfortunately. The only ones I have are the plain, no-name units currently on the Imperial. They're like undrilled cop caps, but they're the only set I have and I'd like to hang onto them.

If our cars could talk. This morning I decided to put on the viscous fan I have, then the shroud I had lying around. First, I didn't have the correct length bolts for the fan. No big deal. Then I noticed that my shroud had five mounting points, and the radiator in the car has 6, which are in no way related to the shroud mounting locations. I then took the numbers off the radiator & hit the internet. As those of you more sharp than myself have now guessed, I have a C bod radiator in the car. Who knows when that happened or why. I have a correct 26" radiator(size, not year), which is the one the shroud came off of, but the upper tank is cracked. I'll take it to a good radiator shop next week and see if it's repairable. Here's the two radiators.

i run a 72 fury rad in my 69 cuda.....

that "should" be fixable...my worry is it looks like theres previous work under there as well

The simplest solution may be to swap the side brackets from the bad rad to the good one. It's just basic soldering and doesn't take a ton of experience.

Good advice.:2thumbs:

I can't say I've ever seen a top tank split like that! Are you concerned about numbers? If not you might be farther ahead just using the C-body rad with the brackets and shroud from the other one...as 68 suggested.

I've been contemplating the same solution, since I don't care if the radiator has the correct part #. I just want it to seal and cool. Good advice, sir.:bravo:

Today I finally managed to get the car out to Dave's place to get the shift shaft seal in the trans fixed. Once we had it on the lift, Dave got to work, and I decided to clean up & detail the rearend and springs. Once we were done, Dave made me a helluva deal on a set of Plymouth Division caps, and a set of nice marker lenses. You guys were right about the Plymouth caps. They look amazing.[smilie=:: Now I need to smog it & buy tags.

Everything 68 and newer has to pass smog here. Tiny jets and a bit of denatured alcohol and it should sail through smog. The RC is an 88 that I drive in the winter. It's a retired cop car, so it was very nicely maintained. I'll dig out some pics for you.

BC is about as bad when it comes to emission tests. Unless you have qualified for a special "collector plate", then you have to pass yearly "Aircare" tests before you can get insurance.

LAME.....
round here 75 and newwer only...washington state anything older than 20 years doesnt need it..yeah thats right 45 mins north of me and my 89 caravan doesnt have to go thru smog lol
