70 Sport Satellite build

I've been packing the 65 around for almost 10 years now, so it's time. The Formula S 69.5 speaks of is a different story. It was a totaled car dad and I bought about 8 years ago. The original owner wrecked the car trying to avoid a kid running into the road, but he kept everything. The body was a taco. He rolled the car on it's side and hit a power pole roof first at highway speed. I have the engine, K member, trans, rearend, dash, wiring harness, hood, decklid, grilles, one fender, console, shifter, pedals & linkage, buildsheet, sales agreement, and window sticker. With a proper car to put it in, it will live again, if only as a correct clone.

jc come get my 68 coupe..ya ya ya not a fastback...makes me wish id saved that 68 fastback shell many years ago

It seems that, for some reason, the notch-backs are more desirable but I've always preferred the looks of a fastback. :2thumbs:

I was kind of disappointed when they discontinued the fastbacks for 1970.:(

I liked the 67-68 styling so much that I even ordered a new 68 fastback w/383, 4 spd in B5 blue. When I found out how much the insurance would cost I had to cancel the order. [smilie=2:

Out west, it's just the opposite. Notches are overlooked, and everyone wants a fastback. This car was a fastback, and that's what it should be rebuilt as.

Really glad mine is a coupe. I like the fastbacks but the couples around here are far less common. Now to get the damn thing built! :D

The car left for it's new home in Finland this morning. I'm a little bit bummed, but excited about finally getting going on the 65. To end this thread, here's my favorite shot of the car with my gorgeous little European girlfriend. Good memories...:)
