Looks like painted mirrors for me, one drivers side is driver quality(well from a couple a feet away) but the p[ass side which is much harder to get is shot, will see if I send a bunch a stuff to be rechromed maybe I'l throw em in???????? Rich.

yet more small parts, power steering pump & brackets came out ok, dash frame pretty crappy, but I just have to redo the parts that show! :doubt: Rich.

well I got the look i was after, now the only question is will it stick & hold up over time????????????
1st try I coated it with semi gloss clear, now if I could learn to spray clear without drips!
second pic is the only pieces(welll the other one is good too) of chrome I have for the bumpers & guards, hope rechrome is in the budget before I put em on, hate to paint these good pieces! :doubt:

Yet another box rummaged through produced the metal inside trim, cleaned that up & tried krylon semi flat black on a piece, might have to go to semi gloss(they didn't have any) not sure how dull it's supposed to be?

Got the back of the light bar shot, had a little surface rust, front was ok, also stripped the glove box door & hinge, hopefully paint tomorrow!

don't try & remove the paint on your hands wioth wire wheels, it smarts a bit! Rich.

Nother Rusty Brain storm that may not come out as expected, didn't wanna do the same old black or car color on the inserts, so I figgered the louvered look might be nice, painted em semi gloss & then sanded off the front edges, shot some semi gloss clear on, actually looks a tad better than the pics but not sure if I'll waste time on a redo or just leave em????????? Rich.

Not a problem Foggy, got the 74 waiting in the wings, if I live long enough, just like real work, i have no hope of retiring, so I'll do both till they burry me!
Speaking of which, I dumped out another box of the crap I'm burried in now!

Pleasently supprised, all I need to do is paint the retractor bases, rust came off the chrome with no pits on all the lowers, belts ok too, the 2 shoulder belts were the worst, faded & pitted chrome, replace or just dye the belts & paint the pitted ends? :doubt:

Got a few minor defects on the small parts, but considering I have a dash frame & glove box door that need bodywork:wtf: (no I'm not gonna do it:dgt: ) they will be good enough , still have an issue on the frame, got the bad part ok & messed up another section!

got the jack stripped wednesday & painted up thursday, along with the motor mounts!

Took some of the steering column apart, might need some help on this later on, but got some of the parts cleaned up. Rich.
