Rusty's not very quiet cuda progress

build yerself a wooden cover for the ENTIRE unit with 3 inches around the entire roofline of unit as vent...and then consider it perminantly in place

Ok, the board is still up,no dark & empty corners! the cuda thanks you, reunited with its past & yet it is not whole , oh thats my fault, I'm too damn slow! Rich.

Been putzin with the oil pan, gettin cold & snowy(way too soon) here so after getting the snow blower prepped for tomorrow's expected snow I had the garage a bit warm soooo, why waste the heat, finished cleaning up the oil pan & got a coat a por15 on ity & painted the black part of the emergency brake assembly & the dip tube for the tranny!
here's the waste of time, but I'm not buying a new on for this car! ;) Rich.

Dude, you gotta ease up on the POR-15.[smilie=2:

Hows them hood supports (I'd call 'em hinges but......) doing???:D

Don there again bare metal & move freely! 2 days in stripper for one, 3 days before the second would budge, I now have another use for por15, GLUE, hmmmmmmmm maybe Cement! :dgt:
The pan be blue now, hope it dries, sitting over the heater as we speak:doubt:

Good to hear that you were able to save the hinges from the POR-15 gods!!!:hail:

Couple a more pieces cleaned & painted, ebay slap sticks & ebrake assembly, actually were pretty decent, ebrake was new,no sign of wear or mounting but had a tiny bit of surface rust, why 2 slapsticks, well I needed one for the 74, got snipped on about 10, so I bid on two in a row & won em both! might need the other for the 73 anyway, or just have a spare!
the other junk is the oil pan bolts & the dip tube for the tranny!

I've been looking for a T-handle type slap stick shifter for a while. My 72 has the first year only round top shifter in it now (which I don't like :( ). If you ever feel like getting rid of one of em, let me know.

I'll let ya know in the spring, I found out on the hood hinges where not to por15 anymore(an 8' 2x4 bolted on couldn't budge em) but the 73's slapstick was already done, so it may be useless, or a least take a couple a days soaking in paint stripper to get it to move again:shifty: Rich.

dug into another box of junk today, rubber dept, isle 3 please!
k, had 2 sets of each, manafed to get all front rubbers off without loosing the studs, rears I was lucky, the two better ones came off ok, the other two the studs broke right off, so i tested out some products I had laying around!

Ok, so they ain't that good, pics make em look new, anyway the main question I have is, is there any kind of coating? sealer? for rubber that I can sand out the defects & get the shine back, I took the worst set of fronts & sanded one out(will get the last few spots out if I get a positive ans.) here's test 2!
