1982 Cordoba Stock Car.

Did any of you watch the video in that link? They have a demo bar set up. At one point they show a "stock rubber " sway bar frame mount bushing and they say "Note the ineffectivenisess of the stock rubber bushing!" To which I say "Note the sway bar frame bushing in the demonstration is warn right the fuck out!" There is a half inch gap between the bar and the bushing when the bar is at rest for fuck sake!

I never saw the bar at rest, but in the middle of the travel of the machine it looked like the bushing was pretty tight. However, if you're getting that much deflection out of an anti-sway bar, you've got serious problems somewhere else in your suspension.

There is one hell of a gap no matter where the bar is in the cycle. That bushing is J-U-N-K SHIT!

I liked the hell out of 'em. I would've suggested that but I had no idea you had access to bushing stock like that which is why I'd said pipe. Nice work!

Thank you. :)

I have to agree with Stretchy about the video, that rubber bushing is two sizes too big. :D

On the subject of sway bars, this car could have come with a rear swaybar.

Soooo....

I think it would be worth installing one, Do you think the mounts on a B-body Cordoba would be the same? Then I would just have to get a bar. :hmmm:

DON'T RUN A REAR BAR!!!! It will lift the left rear tire off of the track in the turns. I use to laugh at those guys on the track when I would come up behind them.

I know it sounds crazy but the left rear tire on the cars with rear sway bars would lift off off the track about 6 to 8 inches through the turns.

I hope I get that book soon as my cage arrived yesterday! :giggedy:

Got the K-frame holes closed in and marked, just have to drill the holes for the bolts to go through. Left my big drill bit set at work. :doubt:
