Those triangles are just bits of scrap I used to cover up a couple small soft spots.

Good job!

I've been around licensed bodymen who couldn't weld up door posts like that. Nice job. :)

I will be going away for 8 weeks next Monday for Level 2 Automotive Service Technician training.

No progress will be made on the car during this time. :(

Hot damn she's looking good...Well done dippy...well done...

And good luck on your level 2 training!!

A couple final goodies picked up before I leave.

Thanks to Stetchy for the heads up on the fan. :2thumbs:

Then there is a complete set of Moroso 1/2x20x3" racing wheel studs.

Yep. Thats the fan! You are going to be amazed when you see how much air that thing moves! Just remember to use flat washers and lock tight and DON'T OVER TIGHTEN IT!!! Get it inside the shroud to make it work at its full potencial! It's amazing that somthing so small and light weight can work so good.

Going to try and fight with the seat mount Saturday, going to spend Friday night drinking in the garage with some friends and moving my tools into my new to me tool box for the garage!

Pics to follow.

Among the other various odd jobs around the garage this weekend I did manage to get some work done on the car as I was able to Shanghai my brother for about an hour and the the seat position figured out.

It's currently mocked up where it will be going, just have to notch fit the top bar and measure out and cut up the other support bars, then of course weld it in. :D

I also found out the steering column I have has the wrong mounting bracket so I had to just hold the column against the fire wall to gauge steering wheel distance. I guess J's and Late M's have different dash supports. So I'll have to get the column bracket out of one of the parts cars at the farm as I didn't keep anything from the original broken column.
