What are you working on?

I don't know what you mean by "the old way", but if you mean riveting, that's how just about every reline shop on the planet does it.

rivits=old way..but thats just it..otts offers a wide range of friction surfaces and can glue or rivit and even offers both....price up a clutch for a alfa gtv6 and youll come to "quality" stuff being in the 5-700 range...otts did mine to better than stock specs rebalanced everything and made a few performance tweeks and i was out under 100# in less than 3 days

Just drove 300km in my 95 neon coupe with a stickshift and a two floorpans a quarter skin and a full quarter for the Dart. The round trip was 6oo km (320 Miles) on 4 hours of sleep (9am to 2pm yesterday) in the last 24+ hours. When I showed up in the Racecar the dudes at National Moparts were saying no way was that all fitting inside the car. I drove home, trunk closed and all windows up, a little trouble shifting though. :-) Pics to follow, now bedtime; I gotta work at 11:00pm.

I did something similar a few years back, front floor pans and 2 full quarters for the Duster in a Toyota Corolla with driver and passenger. trunk closed and windows up. it was cramped but bearable on the 4 hour ride.

ask fishy about his ride home from wildcat autowrecking in the back of a rolla......
69, his girl at the time and I went to Wildcats to get a few things for a couple of the Barracudas. I know there was some interior bits, stainless trim, maybe an 8 3/4 and some other stuff. We went up in a '78 Corolla 4 door wagon. After we got the car loaded, I heard Nicole ask, "Uhm,.... where's Tim gonna sit?" We looked at the car and realized the back seat as well as the cargo area were crammed full of parts. We were just so into making everything fit that we forgot all about the fact there were 3 of us who had to fit in the car. 69 opened the rear hatch and said, "Climb in. Just don't bend the trim." Naturally he was laughing. I had to climb and contort myself in such a way that I was pretty much pressed against the rear window. The looks of people in the cars behind us were pretty funny! :D About 45 minutes later, we got home and I unfolded myself out of the car and instantly cramped p for a few minutes. Yes, they took a pic of me before they let me out. No, we don't have the pic. :( Last we knew, his ex had it.

Oi.

It's fun to visit Nigel's place though, isn't it?

It is a nice little yard I want to go and look for stuff for the Fury but I don't want the inevitable project creep. I've been twice now for "new" parts for the Dart both times needed to be home PDQ so a quick tour of the cars had to do. Still haven't downloaded the pics from the phone.

Well I finally finished the bathroom and have made a ton of slow progress on the Oakland. Wow is 86 year old grease mixed with dirt a bitch to clean off of parts!

I had to have a puller made to remove the rear wheels. They are a press fit to a tapered axle with a keyway and likely have never been off. Mark Has owned this car sence 1971 and he never removed them. The tool made short work of that task.

I have the front frame and axle stripped , about half of the brake parts cleaned and bead blasted. Today I'm labeling the wires, pulling them from the car so I can measure and getting an order ready for Restoretion Supply for wire and loom so I can build a new wire harness. I'll aslo be getting a list ready for king pins, spring and shakle bushings and pins, and wheel bearings and seals from Kanter.

The brake bands will be sent out for relining tomorrow.

I'll see about getting some pics up latet tonight.

i pulled my xr250 in the house lastnight..top ends gotta come off due to oil spitting out the left of the head...im 100% confused as hell..cause its NOT from a gasket

Just finished the 12 point cage in our '65 Dart. A bit overkill for now.....but piggy seems to value my head. Thank you dear.

I've been busy on the Oakland all winter and I have a few update pictures to post. Spent the last two weekends painting parts. I painted more last night and plan to paint more tonight. Hopefully I'll be reassembling soon.

Here's some pics of the wire harness I built.
