What are you working on?

Yesterday, I replaced the water pump and fan belt on the New Porker.

Today, I opened the pool and hung a new mailbox up.

The mailbox is cool. My brother made it out of an old dresser drawer and he cut the wood so that the drawer's keyhole is on the front of the box.

i got this lil fetta when i was in reno..and i got sick of the faded factory colors..belive it or not that whole gut was cream/yellow with brown carpet....but it faded to pinkish and piss puke yellow.....i couldnt take it any more...cost me 14$ in dyepaint..i allready had a spare carpet from a cut down car......i "should" have leather door panels but i cant find em....and i have a good black leather back seat but i dont have a good set of fronts...so these stay for now..and the contrast is not soo bad

the tires..while silly are basicly a "test fit" imagine the rubber as flares...and the tires being something in the 25inch tall range

See? It's got the slot for the locking arm even.

And the bottom is even the wood from the drawer bottom.

The finish is just stain. Ours is well under a covered porch. If it were more exposed to rain, I'd put a clear coat on as well. I might still do that but I'll see how this fairs over a few months or so.

I've been busy redoing my bathroom. It was ass ugly and all marlite. It was in bad shape and it's the only one in the house so with a wife and 2 young kids there isn't much time to screw around. Here are some before pics and 2 weeks worth of progress pics to fallow.

Some more pics. (I have no idea why they never post in the order I post them).

We did this at work, finished our portion of it a few months ago and the owner has been assembling it.

A very rough and wavy body - fiberglass - that needed a lot of filling, blocking and more blocking. I had close to 150 hours in the body and prep work.
The boss sprayed it with a Nissan colour, base clear. One of his better jobs, for sure. No de-nibbing or polishing needed here. :)

A lot of money for a replica, but it sure looks nice!
