i got this lil fetta when i was in reno..and i got sick of the faded factory colors..belive it or not that whole gut was cream/yellow with brown carpet....but it faded to pinkish and piss puke yellow.....i couldnt take it any more...cost me 14$ in dyepaint..i allready had a spare carpet from a cut down car......i "should" have leather door panels but i cant find em....and i have a good black leather back seat but i dont have a good set of fronts...so these stay for now..and the contrast is not soo bad
funny thing is ive got another car here with what can only be said as a "factory" before shot..with the cream and dark brown....ida never guessed it would fade to pink either...gotta be about the weirdest shade to fade to.....too many years in the cali sun?
And the bottom is even the wood from the drawer bottom.
The finish is just stain. Ours is well under a covered porch. If it were more exposed to rain, I'd put a clear coat on as well. I might still do that but I'll see how this fairs over a few months or so.
I've been busy redoing my bathroom. It was ass ugly and all marlite. It was in bad shape and it's the only one in the house so with a wife and 2 young kids there isn't much time to screw around. Here are some before pics and 2 weeks worth of progress pics to fallow.
We did this at work, finished our portion of it a few months ago and the owner has been assembling it.
A very rough and wavy body - fiberglass - that needed a lot of filling, blocking and more blocking. I had close to 150 hours in the body and prep work.
The boss sprayed it with a Nissan colour, base clear. One of his better jobs, for sure. No de-nibbing or polishing needed here.
