What are you working on?

It's also nice to see someone doing one of those things that's not gonna be a "rat rod" or primered black "traditional rod." Both trends can be cool in their own way, but sometimes too much is too much already....

i kinda agree..while "some" of the ratrod thing has been done to death like a chevy 350.......its the real "unique" ones that roll out that i LOVE

what am i working on...PACKING for reno

There's a kid around here that has an old sedan body (I'm not sure of the make, but it's a straight roof 2-door). It's flat red and runs a 500 Caddy with straight pipes. He's been running it for several years, and has never been stopped yet. It's a total rat rod. I admire him for having that as his first car and doing most of the work himself, but I think the whole rat-rod thing's been done to death just like Pro Street cars that look bad as hell but can't get out of their own way.

Haven't been on in awhile, not sure if I updated or not. All I've done in the past little while, was add my offy valve cover and take a picture of my super six conversion, which was done a year or two back :)

Thanks. I'm quite happy with how it's turning out. The owner should be friggin' ecstatic!

But Man! It's a LOT of hard work!

was gone to reno ...flew out monday morning DROVE back thursday....in another alfa

was ripping the heat out of a prancing pony.....ferarri mondialT....pics later

I had a local ad posted looking for a 3.91 suregrip and decided to just pop in the gears I have in the garage
so i took the 2.76 one legger out and installed the 3.23 suregrip this week. Immediately after finishing the gear swap I got an email about some gears, a complete 8.75 rearend with 3.91 suregrip.
I picked up the rearend today, looks like I'm doing the gear swap all over again next week.

I told the guy to check out Moparnuts.com
He's building a real nice 66 Charger, 383 4 spd

yes FLEW down to reno i was to do the "major" serviece on a 90 mondial T v8 ferarri,,,,owner hadnt ordered parts........most of which will take a month+ to get...so i ripped the craddle out on a garage floor and DROVE back wnesday..with a loaded down 77 alfa gtv....when i go back down for the prancing pony ill be driving it back for suspension bushings and a massive wireing update......

this is what i drove back in..me and fishy took it upto the 40 to take off the bumpers...the one and only theing the owner bought the car for..which is now MINE
took the bumpers off, cut the limpdick exhaust tip off, and since it was missing its chin spoilers and needed them BADLY pulled them off my 99 cent fetta

My Dad built this end table for me 13 years ago when I bought my house. He also built a octagon shaped end table and a matching coffee tabile. I spilled somthing on this one years ago and finally got around to refinishing it a couple of weeks ago.

Now I need to redo the other two because this one looks so much better than they do now. :D

Looks like I got the pics out of order there. The 2nd one is the befor pic. the 1st is the after pic.

The temp got up to 46 deg F yesterday so I fired up the waGOON. Brought it up to temp to get its' juices flowing.:giggedy:

Then I fired up the motorscooter and took a quick cruise thru town to view all of the snowbanks.

S'posed to get up to 50 deg. today, maybe I'll go sunbathing. :hmmm:

It was almost that warm here, so I walked out to the garage and saw nothing in it. So I came back into the house and took a nap.

i was out till midnight in a short sleeved work shirt...its plenty nice..
did a full tune on my bike including new braided brake lines...chacing after a 10mpg drop
theres a f-ing accord on the lift......im doing an engine rebuild and swap....vtec...ooo....BORING..then theres the alfas that im playing with daily

Today i spent the whole day with my dad relining our T.M.R. (total mix ration) mixer. The floor had rusted and wore out so we relined it with 16 ga stainless steel. Did not get any pictures because we started in the morning and had to have the mixer working by chore time tonight. So it was a total thrash to get it apart and back together.
