What are you working on?

Well the Fury is languishing in the garage but I went out and got some new skins for the Neon on Sat. and installed new front pads and rotors in the driveway with the kids helping me on Sunday. It was a beautiful day 11 degrees, no snow. It was nice to work on cars again and have the kids help was great now I gotta get reinvigorated on the Furkota.

Well the Fury is languishing in the garage...

I know what you mean all too well, It's depressing me watching the pile of crap build up on my Charger... Hell there's a HUGE spider (Halloween decoration) occupying the engine bay mainly because it's pissing me off seeing it empty. [smilie=l:

Burnt offerings! My buddy said he had a bunch of smoke come out of the dash but everything still works. He asked if I would take a look. He stressed that it was alot of smoke and he had been pulling the + battery cable when ever he wast driving it. That looks to have been a wise choice. This wire goes from the ignition switch through main harness, through the bulkhead connector, down to the parking brake switch and up to the instrument cluster brake light. It had melted to, but not through the wires it touched throughout the harness.

That looks like fun there Stretchy pants! :D

At least those dashes are easy to remove.

I'm building roll cage today and tomorrow!

I was going to just cut the burnt wire on each end and run a new one but I wanted to be sure it didnt damage any other wires. I really don't want to have to take it apart again.

indeed ive chased and done that before on a-s and trucks...not fun at all...so what caused it anyway

Those brakes work fine til the first panic stop, then you're the biggest A-hole that ever lived! Oh well, that's his deal, just hope your're not the guy in front of him when the pedal sticks to the floorboard.

Otherwise she looks good, for a 1st gen Fish.

you musta missed the gastank......the top of it is soo soft im sure i could stab a screwdriver thru it..the fuel came out brown..and strips parts GOOD....but theres soooooo much rust in the tank i REFUSE to even hook it to the new fuel pump https://www.dropbox.com/s/g26i8cphfqzn329/IMAG0734.jpg

all 3 of the brake hoses have swells in them..3 out of the 4 brakes were soo stuck i had to sledge the drums off..the drums look like they have been turned beyond limit..the hardware is soo nasty ...the rear brakes are oil soaked(gee ya think the original axle seals are shot?)..the grease on the front came out in chunks that seemed like soft plastic..oh i should mention the rust in the brake lines....and the coroded to hell master on the INSIDE

new motor is useless on a car that needs a ton of mechanical love...the front end bushings are litteraly falling out as well

EXACTLY...

her words when i came to look at it was "i need to get it out of here before the neighbor assoc comes and bitches at me again cause it smokes"...its been in HER garage sitting since 02 with 11gal of fuel in it.....i was told "its low milage"..yeah ..umm...the inside of it looked like it came from a cab

The HOA is on her because it smokes? That seems like abuse of power. I wouldn't own a house in a subdivision with an HOA, they have entirely too much power and most don't do much of anything except raise dues, hassle homeowners and waste collected money on stupid shit. Besides I would have already thrown out! I get letters from the city couple times a year because of my trailer parked on the grass.

I put up a privacy fence so they can't see the trailers and cars in MY BACKYARD! Screw you people, I keep my grass cut, the house presentable and mind my own business.

Well, I helped 69 reassemble the bottom end on a 273 for a '64 Barracuda this past week. My schedule got in the way so I was unable to help with the rest of it. Today after work I spent WAY longer than planned up at our shop helping a coworker do the lower end bearings on his 2.4 '03(?) '07(?) (I forget...) Stratus. Was frustrating trying to figure out how to get into the motor but, once there it was smooth sailing. Until.......... There's a "tray" of sorts that holds the crank in place with the lower journal bearings. We fought with that bastard for THREE HOURS, pounding and prying, trying to get it off!! Yes, we had all the bolts out but, it would. Not. Budge!! It got late so we said, "Screw it!" and threw it back together so he could get home and to work tomorrow morning. We plan on tackling that damn journal tray another day. We did manage to get the rod bearings changed though. Yay?
