They arnt that bad. Flat rate pays somthing like 8 hrs. I've done several in 2.5 hrs. This one took me about 4 because I vacuumed the carpet, cleaned the dash and windshield, cleaned out years worth of stuff from behind and under the seat ( I found parts to a boat motor that I havent owned in 8 years), cleaned out the glove box and door pockets, and I was out untill 3 a.m. the night before and up at 6 a.m. Oh, and I had a little "spark knock" :D Beers will do that to ya sometimes.

I put the face back on the house. I ripped it off in July, I think, and between stuff and life happening it just kept getting put off. I still need to trim it out, but you can't see the Tyvek anymore, and my wife is happy so that makes me happy. :tats:

I should be able to finish all but the painting in a couple evenings this week.

Also makes life easy on me cuz I'm going back up to Tulsa to grab that '71 Charger, for parts, it has a newer windshield, a nice L/F fender and a nice set of tail lights :giggedy:

Oh yeah, and a set of 15" slots :giggedy:

I almost never see a '94- 02 dash cracked here. I've seen lots of 04 and up dashes that were broken though. Almost always right in front of the gauge cluster.

I need to get a nice one, but I've got better ways to spend $250-350 right now. Besides that doesn't affect the way she runs, so it can wait.

I picked up this polaris express 300 4x2 with a "blown" engine for Chrissie. I took it as partial payment for my neon. I sold the neon to a friends 17 year old brother-in-law. He blew the polaris up on a ride we were on about a year ago. Coincidentally, my polaris 300 xplorer 4x4 blew up on the same ride. :D.

Anthony had all of the plastic off of it so it only took me about 20 min. to get the engine out. All I had to do was disconnect a few wires and pull the primary clutch, and the engine mounts. After I find a small enough bore gauge I'll know what size piston and rings to order. Next is split the case so I can clean out any pieces and change the crank seals and clean up parts.

Today I spent the morning helping my buddy on his dairy farm, I came home and unloaded the axels out of my truck. Then I went up to my Mom and dads and put Dads Vette on jack stands for him. He is haveing two of the wheels restoried. They were dammaged when Mom and Dad "Hit" some road construction last month. Dad was runn off the hwy and into a concreat barior by a simi truck. He was passing Dad on Dads right and he changed lanes once the truck was passed the car but not the tralier. Mom said she was never so scared in her life. She was looking out the roof at the trailer and out the window at the ground. The car climbed the barrior. The control arms on the left side, both wheels and tires, the front shocks, and the rack are damaged. After Dad calmed down He was Pissed right off! :D Thank God they are ok!

If only they knew someone that worked on cars... :D

Who's doing the wheel resto? These guys are cheap and easy just like Mom, and their work is nothing short of awesome: http://wheelsamerica.com/. If your Dad sent them out Monday, he'd probably have them back Wednesday. The only problem is that then the other two wheels will look like crap in comparison. :D Ask Kev!

It's all through the insurance company and Danny Lindsley. We are doing the mechanical work in our shop. I don't know who is doing the wheels.

Installed the studded knobbies from my old 650 KLR onto the 250. The rear is a little big for the 250 and I had to trim the right side knobs to clear the muffler. Also installed a new chain and sprockets, only thing left to do is install a small windshield and it's ready for winter fun.

A few year back I was headed out to Manitoba for my moms memorial service and at an area where there was a passing lane, I pulled out to pass a slow semi and a semi that was coming from behind me pulled up on the passenger side of my vehicle and once even decided to pull into my lane forcing me into the oncoming traffic lane. Thank God there was noone coming as I had the wife and 2 of my kids with me. I had the wife write down the company name, plate number, time of day and highway location. When I got back home I looked up the company name and sent an email off to the company and explained the event and said that this was an unacceptable way for there company to be on the road. As it turned out the truck driver was working for a contract company and the company that contracted them told them either the driver goes or they lose the contract as they reguard safety on the road very highly. They kept their contract. Hopefully that driver learned his lesson.

Perhaps he found a job driving here in the states. Mom and Dad both said it happend so fast they never even noticed the color of the truck let alone the name.

Some pics of Dads Vette!

What do you think the odds are of my remembering where my jackstads are when I need them this winter? :D

Thats where he was from. He was just hauling thru Northern Ontario west of Thunder Bay.

I was busy swapping everything over to my new to me tool box in the garage and rearranging things and fixing some of my tools.

I picked up this Craftsman tool box up for $100 from the local Snap-On salesman. Ball bearing slides, only thing wrong with it is the locks are broken. I plan on making the little blue one into my pit tool box for the race car.

The drawers have no way to keep themselves closed other then locking them and this is what the top lock looked like.

The lock tumbler itself turns and the drawers do lock but the key slot has been drilled out.

So I fixed it and made is easy to use with this, the trunk key from my stock car and a hammer.

Hammer the key into the tumbler, easy to secure drawers. :D

I also fixed both of my 1/2 electric drills as the brushes were burnt and the commutator bars were all messed up so I resurfaced them and brushes and they work like new again.

I also had to fix my angle grinder as before I left for school I was rolling around under the car and I kicked the grinder which switched on and I Tim Taylor'ed both the cord for the grinder AND the extension cord it was plugged in with.

So I made the two into one, now I have and angle grinder with a 12' cord!

Extra jack stands are cheap and nice to have. I think I have 4 pair.

I have 3 sets. I just like the way the top is made on the ones at Dads. They have a nice groove in them for the uni-body lip. Speeking of uni-body. I had no idea vettes like Dads were uni-body untill he got this car. And holy crap is it stiff. Its a lift off glass roof car and when I was jacking up the left front to place the jack stand, both of the rear tires came up off of the ground!
