Did that already. But the runners in the main bay and a customers S-10 blazer is in the lean too and the under the house work area is all V-twin from now on until mid summer. So we recorded dvds and I just went out and fired it off. Now I can get PAID.:2thumbs:

Last time I checked those cost money. I hope to be able to attach another kicker off the other side this spring, but I need to remove a 3 ft diameter white fir stump first.:hmmm:

dig around for surpluss materials or find someone who is moveing or takeing one down...my 20x20 cost me under 1000$..course i built it desgined it welded it assembled it myself alone

more work

another VERY nice day..no wind and pushing around 70deg..ahh almost feals like summer and about time to shave my head again......back to todays progress at hand

fully sanded to almost bare both front fenders and the "over the door" panels (there the thin pieces..keep in mind its fully dissasembleable) also started sanding the front panel but stoped due to a need to do extensive surgery to it and i may be changeing it more than i had planed

this leaves me with both doors hood and tail door and grill and lower panel left for prep and primer..then i can dive into body work and a few other "custom" ideas i have in mind

durring the shop needing to vent and awaiting dry time i dove into an idea that became a MUST DO as soon as i got the car since ive ALWAYS wanted to do it to something but never had a project that would be complemented by doing so

yes i know that looks like a waste of a good a100 door but the lower 8 inches of the door was GONE(east coast rusted) as well as about 6 diferent mirror positions drilled in it and full of filler....the door has been past its usefull ness for a long time and been sitting on my scrap pile since befor fishy moved to michigan....

anyway it donated its channels ..yes thats right...the rear door is getting a moveable window...i belive it will end up as a power window but im not sure about clearance for the motor and sliders to make it power ..but its openable atleast...yeah ive got to weld in the channels from the van but the cutting is done and ive checked all the fitment to make sure it "can" be done without makeing the door thicker....so ...in the summer this thing should be nice withh the windows down...once im done makeing the rear door go down as expected..im turning my attention to the windshield...YES i want a windshield that goes down as well...just think both side windows down, rear window down and windshield down about half way...all the benifits of an open window street rod without the sun beating down on you

NOT a clue...depends on what i mix up and what i can get my hands on...what i do know is that it will be mixxed with mack truck silver omni AU...would love some blue, red, purple ...just enuf to twinge the silver

well i passed the point of no return on the rear door...slider window is on its way

what you dont notice in previous pic's is that the window is NOT square..and i needed to realy square it up to make it work the way i wanted to and have room for a diferentlatch and such

no that piece of glass is just there to demonstrate

If you don't have a solid plan for it yet, here's just a thought on the latch. You might be suprised at some of the styling on the older refridgerator handles. Some of them are pretty classy units and probably solid enough for auto use/adaptation.

actualy i descinded that with the window going up/down that there realy isnt room for a handle ..i mean its realy going to be tight..so im going to just use a power hatch latch setup from a mini van...it wont take up much space and leaves me with no exterior handle...i will however put some kind of latch on the interior side just in case

yes i do love the old fridge stuff...but we are talking about a door smaller than 2x2

well i put a few more "build" coats of primer on all the stuff that i allready primed..still need to prep/prime doors hood and front valiance...but i spun a berring in my sander sooo time for a new one course it will be free by the time im done /wink
finaly got tired of looking at the passenger side upper quarter and finaly did the tail lights on it

got thinking on the grill and was looking at the nose section and realized what i hated about the hood...the trim on it was makeing it look "bug"..pulled it and it improved..then pulled the little bullnose chrome and TADA..50s merc styleing

drew up some scetch work trying to get a feal for a dash style...and im fairly sure i want to use 57 chevy "hood rockets" in the grill say about 5 of em

i also finaly gutted the doors to see what kind of modifications are going to be needed on them..but broke the stud off the bottom of the wing windows..unsure of how im fixing that(no theres no way to do away with the wings the doors arnt big enuf).....anyone care to tell me where to start looking for window seals?

Man, I gotta tell ya, I' admire the thought and effort you put into these things. You've come up with some really good ideas for this little car.
And ticked off some Jaguar Purists for sure!

If you ever make it over this way, come around job huntin'.
