[smilie=e: for the both of yas! Rich.

Startin to see signs of metal under all the undercoat & rust, gonna be a long battle, but I'm callin out the arsonal, torch & scraper , solvent & rags put the undercoating in retreat, wire wheels, cleaning disc's & oxysolve are now pounding the rust into submission! [smilie=b: it's far from over but I saw a piece or 2 of bare metal today, surly more to be found before I end up in the car???? (I hope) [smilie=e:

wow rusty....what works the best on undercoat...90% of the cars out here didnt have it(thank god..and still dont rust) but i have a 67 here thats starting to get floor rust and shes covered in undercoat

No magic way I've found, heating it up with a small torch & scrapin the heavy stuff off, then soakin the rest in solvent & wiping with rags, I've not seen anyone post an easier way, i wish I could find one, almost at the end of it on this car, wondering if dipping the texas cuda is the way to go when i do that one! I surely know I do not wanna strip another car buy hand, EVER!
but you know what they say, never say never! EVER! [smilie=e: Rich.

K, after a day of kinda off from the car, just coated it with oxysolve & let it work a few hours before the party, I went back at it today, I'm havin a little trouble liftin my rum glass but I think i see more metal than rust & other crapola or is it a holusination!!!!!!!!! [smilie=e: Rich.

Took the frame connectors off, got the 4 seat supports off the old floor pans & the spare tire bracket off the old trunk pan, got the small pieces on the road to rustlessness & wire wheeled a little more on the belly of the beast. Rich.

After wearin out a few wire wheels & starting to grind down patch welds in the wheel wells,i came to the realization that i have DAYS of grinding left [smilie=e: ,a few pieces to weld on & sunday is booked with family stuff. [smilie=e: So I opted to put the 1st coat a por 15 on rather than let it sit naked for another week, will touch up as I finish each piece & then shoot the whole dang thing after i smooth out the rough spots! [smilie=e:
BTW, i shot it today, first time I used the gun with the por, bout 40 mins, probably woulda took 2 or 3 hours with a brush! [smilie=e: Rich.

Wal-Mart "Hi-Tech" carburetor cleaner (78?/can) takes the factory stuff off my LeBaron like magic... all you need is a putty knife for scraping. In fact, it removes the paint underneath it if you use enough.

The stuff is like aerosol demon piss--it'll even dissolve that rubbery potting compound that covers the circuitry of an electronic-ignition ECU. [smilie=E:

*fires half a can into next batch of chili*

Finally got some cuda time in today, wasn't gonna do much, ended draggin my butt in the house bout 7, I'm beat!
rail connectors are por'd!
