Pass side is also down, it's a little lumpy in places mostly up front around the hump, rear corner however is a little better than the other side, I guess once it gets stepped on a bit it should be ok,I hope!
Next time I get I'll get all the hardware that mounts to the head liner ready then I'll give the guy who's gonna do it a call & set up an install date.
getting really warm now! Rich.

Undone!!!!!!!!!!!! went out today to mount all the trim & when I opened up the car the insulation fell off! guess I didn't use enough glue.
So one step foward & 2 back. I did my start up to charge the battery & decided to check the lights because I took a few out in the trunk to mount the rear jack bracket, the rears all work fine, but I have no headlights & left front marker is out too, signals & parking lights work ok, was the end of my day so I'll have to dig into that the next time out.
Hmmmmm could it have something to do with the dimmer switch I just mounted that the other day:confused:
Well I managed to get all the hardware mounted without incident & put in the jack bracket did the jack spring wrong , but saw a post at cc so I know how to make that right, so next is getting the headliner guy over & then I can put the rest of the interior in! :giggedy: Rich.

Redone, used 3m's hi strength glue(redid my countertop while I was at it) anyway I hope that stays up.:toot:
I think the headlight problem was the dimmer switch hanging up on the rubber carpet gromet, wont switch smothly unless I hold the gommet down, got some tinkering to do there, the marker was just a bad connection at the bulb.
Putzed with the jack again & ended up rebending the spring, still don't look right but I'm gettin closer!:shifty:
headliner guy was not available this weekend, maybe next week, but at least everything is ready for him now.

Of course I had to stop by this thread and see where you were at. Looks great and a new interior is like getting a new suit, changes everything.

Unless I missed a page, you haven't been able to wheel it around the block yet?

Nope, still sittin out back.
butttttttttttttttt............... I just got word from charger man that he bought his wheels & tires ,which means I'll have my cragers & tires in a week or so(maybe sooner if we can arrange mounting sooner than sat.)
Greg340's been workin with me & we finished up early both thurs & fri, so we put in a few hours playing with the car. Got that hook back in that holds up the heater box vent, what a pain that was! straightened out a sagging exhaust, but still have to do something there they put a big lag bolt right into the rail & you can't get it tight enough, greg I played with it again yesterday & reset that hanger & got it perfect, problem is that bolt wont hold, gonna pull it, flatten out the metal, reset that one & then add another so the bracket can't move, that should do it(I Hope) We adjusted the hood so I don't have to push down the drivers side every time I close it.
Still have to cut my speaker hole in the rear deck & glue the insulation to the trunk divider, no biggies there, so most everything is ready once the headliner goes in!
My drivers side door switch is on the way, so wiring is almost complete, radio still no workie but that can wait,
Running out of excuses, gonna have to get off my butt & register & insure this babby! Rich.

The chargers in the shop but as of yet no call to pick up my wheels:(
Got some more of the 10,000 little item list done, put a nut & bolt on that hanger, fun gettin the bolt in the frame rail, but now it's tight, also drilled the corner of the bracket & put in a sheet metal screw to keep it from turning, I set the tip slightly hi, hoping it will settle into the right place.:helpme:
got the splash shields onto the frame raile & inner fenders, cleaned up under there a bit, almost everything needs to be repainted, spray bombs just don't cut it, gotta touch up with something with hardener in it, maybe that will hold up better, even my brand new tie rods are starting to rust! I HATE RUST!!!!!!:silenced:
Put in the new door switch dome works but no key buzzer, not sure if I put that in, if I remember its on the far(glovebox) side of the dash.
Got the front bumper back as far as the 10lb sledge would move it & tightened that down, tommorrow or thurs I'll call the headliner guy & see if sat will work, if not it won't happen till the week after mothers day:helpme:
Hopefully tomorrow pics of the wheels(on the car) will be up!:giggedy: Rich.

Cragers are on, painted a decent set of blue visors to black, they look pretty good, doudt the spray bomb stuff will hold up but blacks should be easy enough to get in the future, sprayed the car down pretty good still gettin water in the drivers side vent, pass door window a little, didn't see any by the brake booster(previous leak) & the pass side where the big leaks were looks dry(thanks greg!)
well I got some work to do on my glass looks pretty ratty cept for the new windshield, another job to add to the list. here she is out in the sun again!

Headliner is in, managed to get the rear window trim on before I ran outta daylight, now I gotta get a rear speaker & then I can complete the interior(well almost!) radio has to be sent out & a few small odds & ends but that shouldn't keep me from finally getting this thing on the road, commin up on it's 10th anniversary & still no thrills! worse than a bad marrige! Rich.

Put in a few more pieces, somehow I messed up the rear deck, was rear careful to center it before I cut the speaker hole but I have a gap between it & the corner panel on the pass side, not a lot of overhang on the other side, for now I used the piece I cut out for the speaker to norrow down the gap, guess if I glue it together & a dab of black paint it will pass:toot:
