K, I've been suckin rust dust again, ground down on that repair, it's lead & seems to be hol;dimng up ok!

Bottom was mostly undercoated, got that about ready for paint, the top did not fare so well, got that down to mostly pits to clean out, hopefully ready for paint by wed, sneezes rust brown mucus all over the puter screen, see what I mean! [smilie=f:

Did you use the por-15 fuel tank restorer in it? If not I recommend you do.

Hey beeps, was definatly going with 2 coats on the outside, looked inside got slight surface rust on the top inside, bottom is pretty clean(guess it was good I left some gas in there) anyway is it different coating or just por 15?, I have all the other stuff in stock, marine clean, metal ready, what else comes in the kit? Rich.

The stuff for inside the tank is different, the prep materials are the same. If there is the slightest hint of rust inside there you should seal it up.

Also I failed to mention it's no longer por-15...now it's called KBS.

Tank be almost done, got impatient & nmessed up the paint a bit, but I'll touch it up after I seal the inside, probably mess more up anyway.

work slowed to a crawl when I couldn't locate one of the door glass brackets, tore into evey box I thought it might be in, started pulling down boxes where I KNEW it wasn't(& it wasn't) but there wayyyyyyyyyy in the corner was a box marked door hardware!:toot: K, bring it over to the bench & dig through it, yea its here, but not cleaned up, start moving stuff around to clean it & RIGHT THERE ON THE BENCH is the one I just pulled out of my rotted door 2 weeks ago :doh: (thought I forgot to pull it before I junked the door) ah well, now I have 2 :shifty:
anyway, moved over to the pass side & put in the door handles, latches locks etc, everything works good cept the outside handle(got a new one yesterday 43 bucks too, brandy new) drivers side works ok, put in some of the pass quarter window gear & called it a day, mann I'm ghettin old, aside from the senility, I'm beat! Rich.

No pretty pics to post but just to let you guys know I'm still putzin out there & I haven't kicked the bucket yet!
got the quarter windows in & the pass door glass, all in all a learning experiance, took a while but I doped it out!
Missing some hardware for the drivers door & may have a problem there, seems it's an older door & has some different hardware , not sure whats missing & the 73 manuel can't help there, but I need a front track post & slide defore I can attempt a test fit, seems every where I try & work parts are needed & money is tight, so I keep jumpin around & getting little done!
Anyway, crusty as ever, Rusty!

Paul, these are the pieces I'm looking for, but if your willing to pull all the hardware off the window I'll take it, won't hurt to have a few spares.
pic one is the hardware that fastens the rear track guide to the glass, pic 2 is that piece(I have that) & pick 3 is the roller assembly I need, stud & all , Thanks, Rich.

I'll see what I can do. Mark will have to dig into the spare doors to dig that stuff out for me since I'm not there so I'm at the mercy of his schedule for now. How soon do you need this stuff? I should be there (PA) again sometime in Dec if I need to dig it out myself.

Pulled out some more junk to try & save , painted up a couple of headlight benzels, first one had bad chrome so I shot it with aluminun blast(yep another use 68!) then shot the black in krylon black!
