1982 Cordoba Stock Car.

I have to put on sunglasses to just wash the white donor 93 when it's bright out.

How much Tremclad did you use painting the Doba?

Did some more work today.

Got the seat and steering column installed.

With quick detach wheel.

The plastic dust shield is the lid that held the hardener on a can of Bondo. :D

Put the pins and scuff plates on the hood and the trunk.

I would have finished the steering column install but my intermediate shaft is kinda screwed and it's the only one I have here in town, so off to the farm I go.

Things have been slow and money has been tight as I started school for my 3dr year Automotive Service Technician this January. Will have more progress to post once I get back in March.

Hey DW, The Circle track project looks great! Its too bad that you live so far from here or I'd volunteer for pit crew duties.

If ya get bored hanging out in Moose Juice on the weekends and can afford a bit of a road trip, you can always take a drive out to Riceton for a visit. I'll PM ya our home phone number and cell number, just in case.

Cool.

I'm traveling that way next week. Maybe give you a call.

I'm pretty much here all the time and free every evening and weekend.

I'm pretty much stuck in town since my only paycheck at the time being is from EI. :p I will keep the phone numbers handy just in case. :)

Yeah, I remember all to well what it was like trying to make that EI check last when I was attending school in MJ back in '72. And I was driving back and forth from Regina to MJ for the first month. It was stupid expensive.

Maybe I can talk the wife into going for a road trip when I finish de-bugging my new toy. I picked up a nice running '91 Dakota extended cab for $150.00 a few weeks ago. Needless to say it needed a bit of TLC but I've almost got her road ready now and I'm itching to figure out what sort of fuel mileage an injected 318 gets.

Psst, I think DW is measuring in Imperial gallons. :shifty:

Sooooo. About my stock car. :shifty:

Seriously I just converted it using 3.78L = US Gallon.

When I drive really gentle down the highway at like 50 MPH it gets really good mileage.

That's burning premium fuel thought too.

More progress this weekend!!!

Had to do some modifications to the brake pedal to accommodate the manual brake pushrod.

So I just used the end of a big block manifold bolt as a sleeve to pass a grade 8 bolt through.

Master cylinder is bled and installed and all I need to do is bleed the brakes and leak check everything.

Factory Dodge D-200 trans cooler installed.

Rear shocks installed and I re-routed the differential vent as having it on the right hand axle tube causes leaks during the hard turns.

I just chopped off the factory tube and used some red lock-tite and hammered it back into the case and routed a hose into the trunk.

Got about 90% of the wiring done this weekend and got my engine bits ready to go to the machine shop on Monday morning.

All that's left for wiring is the main battery cable and the grounds.
