Hit the nail right on the head. :D I wanted the oil pan back on that night and there was nothing going to stop me. :D


This pickup only cost me a dime Stretchypants. :D


With this build I had forgot about the rear main seal and I didn't think I had one. Found a brand new one in my giant box 'O gaskets.

Found the old oil pump was all munched from that stupid pickup. Didn't think I had one. Found one buried in a box of engine parts and shocks sitting next to the giant box 'O gaskets.


'Twas a fantasic evening of progress and I was not letting the pickup stop me. :D

Sweet....I feel your satisfaction....I too love it when I need something...then stumble across it in my hording of all things mopar and such....:)
 
Where is the "moparunts.com" decal? Should be on the pillar in the "special thanks" list!

Finally got around to installing the hood pins and finishing the hood.




This is as far on the engine as I can get right now.


 
I think he's waiting to install the heads & such before applying the Caterpillar Yellow engine paint I keep telling him to use. :D
 
i...actualy think cat yellow would be pretty cool ....if not then the CORRECT blood red bigblock red....which i "think" is vht not duplicolor and its the "generic" red not the mopar red as the mopar red comes out tomato
 
I'm still debating what color to paint it.


I was telling Jass I was going to paint it white. :D


I should just clear coat the whole ratty looking mess and have it all go and no show! :dance:
 
Make the boys at the track scratch their head for a few minutes... paint it Oldsmobile Rocket Gold and get a "Rocket 350" pie tin. :D :D :D
