1982 Cordoba Stock Car.

I hate Stretch metal. It only comes in 6'6" lengths and weighs like 275lbs. :-D

It looks good, man. Keep it up!

Worked with aluminum most of yesterday.

Can you believe that there is about 1/2" difference between these two 1/4 window openings?

Now I see what your talking about with the cooler. Good idea and nice work.

Dippy, I forgot to break your heart on the phone last night. I looked up the rivets you were describing to me on Facebook. $21.20 including sales tax at the local CarQuest... for a box of 500. I told you you're getting stroked on those things.

Don't forget to use some extra elders glue to hold that 2x4 in place :D

Nah man, Zip ties and lots of them!

I figured from sitting in the car I can't see directly behind me with or without a mirror, so I figured "Why not right here!". :)

I even phoned the Bolt Supply House in Regina, only about $10 less then NAPA. Whatever, I need them and I got them.

I did manage to get some more work done today despite a late start.

Got the front gap guards finished, the fender holes filled in and the hood pins mocked up.

I also fitted a piece of 1/4" rod just inside the edge of the fender to give it back some rigidity and to make that edge a little friendlier if it does happen to contact the tire.

I'm not sure I'm grasping the concept of the double nuts under the trunk floor. :hmmm:

So they can't back off?

Same as the double nuts inside the trunk? :D

I just noticed I forgot to replace the two nuts I had borrowed from that to use in my make shift bushing puller. :D

I would've put one nut inside the trunk with a large washer and one below. Stronger, and once torqued neither one's backing off.

You can't really torque them as there is too much flex in everything.

You have to make things somewhat tight and then lock the nut in place. Think like holding a spring in place under pressure.
