I don't think I've ever owned a Mopar that had plugs that clean. So after it cooled down a bit I pulled a plug (same #1) Me thinks it looks a ton better? What say you guys!View attachment 28630View attachment 28631
I do not like that one bit. I know OP senders have different pressure settings. I changed the sender in mine to adjust the pressure where the light comes on per Jass, but I don't remember if it's higher or lower. That pressure setting could be the cause - the light's coming on too soon. I'll get back to you about Jass' pressure switch info he passed to me.1st the oil warning light kinda flashes on & off when idling, goes out as soon as I start moving, not hearing any rat tat tat's
Probably has a shift kit in it. Cross your fingers and hope it does.2nd thing I'm not sure about, as I was slowing down for a light it dropped into second, did it a couple of times, is that right when your in drive?
Here it is:I'll get back to you about Jass' pressure switch info he passed to me.
In the best case you've got the 20 PSI switch so the pressure is going below that to turn on the light. For added peace of mind, I'd suggest getting AllStar part #ALL99059 (street price around $20) to replace your OE oil switch. The factory switch is rated for 4PSI, which is simply too late. The AllStar part turns the light on at 20PSI, which gives you time to kill the engine before everything's junk. I have a 1/8"NPT street tee installed in my W2 engine; one side feeds a VDO gauge and the other is for the AllStar switch. At idle, the light is just flickering and the gauge is right at 20PSI.
I'm pretty sure the tee I have is a factory part because I've seen it on multiple unmolested 360s.I would like a gauge so I know where it's at, the other car had one I think it ran around 75???
That had tiny plastic tubing to hook it up.
Can you just shoot a pick of the tee , trying to think of how to hook it all up, don't remember the fitting the other car used.
This car just has the sender & a wire slid onto the top of it?
Where would I be able to connect a gauge into?
Where's the fun in that?I thought I was pretty much done
Here's mine, looks pretty stock?
Don't know what pressure it works at? View attachment 28642
I would just cut to the chase and install the gauge now. Then I'd leave it installed. Can't say for sure what it was like before, but I painted the engine & taped off any electric connections?
Thinking of buying the 20lb switch, the tee & then cap the port for the gauge, if it lights the warning light then install the gauge & dee what kind of trouble I'm in?
