Not A Duster's Most Excellent Progress

Looks good! Do I notice shaved door handles? As for the "rollback" I always thought if you had a new drivetrain in it (engine and tranny) you could reset the odometer back to 0. :wtf:

Roll it back to "0" and most people think that it turned 100k

At least at 38k they will beleive it's a lo-miler.

Fishboy: The door handles are not shaved...they are removed for the bodyshop. I'm thinking the tape over the hole is what fooled you.

Hey every one....Look whats almost finished::dance:

Was that a Viper blue? I forgot

It looks very close to my Coronets. :hmmm:

Not much new today - hadda short day on account of taking my Dad to the Smother's Brothers show tonite for his burfday.

Just painted engine accesories, pullies etc....oh - and hacked a hole in the floor.

Came out pretty clean - I'm happy.

Yesterday didn't turn out to be too much on account of me being hung over from goin' out with Dad to the Smothers Brothers show...:D

The show was reaally, really good and man - do they keep the beer cold in that show lounge....

Spent the balance of yesterday grocery shopping with wifey & noodled in the garage a bit in the evening.

Was an exercise in frustration tho. First off - got the new rear seal in the motor & was about to install the new oil pump with the new pickup (that I've had for years) when I discovered the threads were screwed on it. More of that kwality Mopar Performance stuff.

So - I super cleaned the old one & got ready to put the pan on & when I opened the gasket set, one of pieces is missing. This is at like 11PM last nite & the place I bought the parts not open until Monday....grrrrrrrrr.

At that point I packed it in for the day.

Today was a bit more productive. Blacked out behind the grille, cleaned & painted more small bits, and looky: the car has the proper amount of pedals!!

Also test fit the ball-stud & bracket before I remove the old undercoating in the wheelwell so we can weld it in.

It's amazing how easy this is on these A-bodies. I don't know about Mopar's other car lines, but all of the holes for clutchrods and ball studs, etc are already there...just pop out a plug and away you go.

Did some other things that are not worthy of pics like re-install the wiper linkage etc...

I don't have an automajic to compare. [smilie=a:

Worked on it until late last nite. Just getting my ass in gear to get back on it today.

Got all the underhood bits n' pieces back on. Brake lines etc, are run, proportioning valve is in. Got all the underdash wiring back in place too.

Knocking the front suspension apart so I can change out the front drums to the 4.5" BP hubs and disc brakes from the Dart Sport.

One box of expensive suspension parts.....

It's coming together nicely. Nice to see you got the good stuff for the suspension. :)

I don't ever, ever want to have to the front end again....figger if I buy the good stuff, it should outlast me.
