My setup is currently in my house, since I blew up so many amplifiers that I'm now down to one.
AudioSource AMP100 amplifier, 2x50W @ 8Ω, dynamically my speakers are about 5Ω so it's probably around 60W each. An Onkyo, two TEACs, two Sonys, a JVC and a Pioneer all went to their graves in my living room from being overworked. The AudioSource is four years old and has been driven many hours straight0 cranked to 11. It can't be killed. Optimus (Radio Shack) passive equalizer to boost the horsepower of certain frequencies. Source material is just my old IBM ThinkPad running WinAmp. Speakers are recycled '70s cabinets I reinforced, ported, and installed all new components including off-the-shelf crossovers, Dayton 12" woofers, Dayton 2" soft-dome midranges, and Dayton aluminum-dome 1" tweeters. All the components were chosen spefically to match, though they also had to fit existing holes. Ports are 4", tuned to 75Hz, and the boxes are half-filled with Acousta-Stuf with a clear path from the woofers to the ports. They bang; the 75Hz tuning was chosen to get the most out of kick drums for that punch in the chest.
Total overkill, and it's a lot louder than you'd think for a low-wattage amp.
Beverages are cooled in the same refrigerator I've had since August of '89... the infamous Race Fridge.
Heat is a 300K BTU house furnace running on a mixture of drain oil and diesel fuel. The only thing I don't like about it is its footprint. It takes up about a 3½' x 5' corner in the garage, due to the required air space around it.
