The New Yorker.

Dammit!

My windshield got smacked by a rock last weekend and now it's cracked up worse then before and it is now unrepairable.

The bad news it they don't make a windshield for my car anymore and the only place I can find one is from the USA and it looks like by the time I get it here and get it installed it's gonna be about $800. :doubt:

Looks like my stroker project is on hold for now.

ouch...

Wait a sec, do you have projectile insurance for the windshield? mine is a $200 deductible included with comprehensive... Might want to look into that. If you don't already have it, get it and wait a month or so, then the insurance company is on the hook for everything except $200.

Negative, I would have if I knew the cost of that windshield but every other vehicle I've owned had a windshield that only cost $300, so $235 a year for that package policy was freakin stupid, because you have to buy wildlife AND Road Hazard insurance first and then for another $50 you can add glass coverage. As for scamming them the problem is the first original damage to my windshield is OLD and starting to delaminate, the adjuster will see that, deny the claim and I'm out $235.

The other problem with that that I see is I don't know what my car is actually valued at, especially after being branded as a "Previous Total Loss" vehicle, an $800 insurance claim for a windshield they might just right the car off.

I'm looking at getting the car appraised after the windshield, leaf springs and rear bumper repairs are done to see what I've actually got.

Oh well, at least the price of gas has come down. :D

Why would you be required to purchase woodland creatures in order to acquire auto insurance? You Canooks is odd.....

Friggen squirrels and racoons would be everywhere.

The tach died in my car today, It starts and then just sits at 1500 RPM no mater what, so I went and ordered and new Auto Meter one to replace it, it just never ends. :doubt: :D
