can i have the trailer tires please?......for my 58 ford

im still baffled for a moment every time i see a flathead v8 with only 6 pipes LOL...always forgettign the center 2 are shared

That is verrrry early vintage, the front distributer flatties were built from '32 to '48. Then they went to a front mount standard type dist., a la big block Mopar.

Changing the points on an early flatty would give you your daily dose of calistenics. You had to hang upside down with your head between the radiator & fan to see what you were doing. :doh:

that looks like some mid/late 70s vintage

what is it tho?....looks like cow green

beeper..ever heard of an allstate?...theres a pretty nice 1966 out here for sale for dirt cheep

The Allstates were made by Puch of Austria and sold thru Sears & Roebuck back in the 50's & 60's.

They were horrible bikes, the larger twin cylinders had both cylinders fire at the same time from a common spark plug. :huh: I guess the combustion chamber in the head must have been shaped like a figure 8. :doh:

Back in high school a fellow student had a 250 Allstate. That thing was such a slug that a 90cc Bridgestone would blow it away. :D

I did a little Goooogling and found this pic, you can see the single spark plug at the rear of the head;

....And their unique cylinder design was referred to as a "split single" :huh:

the 66 jumps out at me the 67 doesnt...lol

Personally, I wouldn't give 50 cents for either one. :dgt:

That enclosed chaincase looks like it could be a real nightmare to change the chain. :doh:

oh admitedly the whole thing sounds like a nightmare...but in general i like the look of the bike.....but to me..i gotta have a honda and may have found me a new one...enjoy the music while i put you on hold

of course i like the bigger honda dreams..the smaller (under 200cc) useualy got a bit goofy looking due to the lack of engine size.....a shorter length seat i think is all those old girls need
