You have to have your tires mounted on your rims first. Then I scrub the tires with simple green and a coarse nylon brush...again and again and again. Then use white paper towels and acetone to clean the rubber even more. Use a new fine wire brush and a bit of acetone to scrub the letters as well. I go until the paper towel, soaked in acetone, wipes almost clean. Believe me this can take a long time!! Once the tires are clean then I use just a rattle can vinyl/rubber dye and spray it into a small container. Then sit down and start painting. Slow tedious work. By the time your done all four tires you can start your second coat.
Wow! That sounds about as much fun as a all night dentist!
sounds liek something ill have to try eventualy
Yes, but you shipped it UPS. FedEx likely would've been half that, or less. UPS drivers are unionized, while FedEx drivers have to bid for their routes and buy/maintain their own vehicles. (except FedEx Freight). Plus, if Fishy can access a corporate account, it's even less expensive.Shipping is going to be the deal breaker! It cost me $65.00 to ship you that Dayton indy car tire!
I may have such a connection. :hmmm:Plus, if Fishy can access a corporate account, it's even less expensive.
