Building Project.

Well if it was me I'd only have one nut to hit...the other would have been traded for that shop and house. The house could always be renovated...and then the wife could have had it built exactly "her" way.

I've thought about that but it won't work..
The only thing that makes sense is to turf the master bedroom and the ensuite bath to make a living room and dining room. The plumbing for the ensuite would need be decommissioned.

Then combine the two bedrooms on the other side of the house into the master bedroom with no ensuite.. And use the shared bath across the hall.
The family room isn't much different in layout to what we have now and I find this awkward for furniture placement.
The kitchen is cool though.

Everything else would be in the basement. More bedrooms, an office, furnace room, rec room, a couple of bathrooms.

It could work I guess but it still wouldn't be quite right in my mind and it would add cost to an already expensive property.
It has two acres of grape vines too. That generates some income but nothing crazy..

Going to be strapping and sheeting the roof tomorrow.

Got a little slower start to the day and ran out of 1x4 strapping but got the gable ladders on and about half the strapping put on as well as finished securing the trusses.

looks good

but i dont like the wooden frame. Would rather have used a steel building.

Then you would gain an open rafter area.

theres actualy a "trick" with steel buildings but requires waiting...waiting for one to be comming down or hunting around for one thats been taken down.....the costs can be staggeringly cheep...i built my 20x20 for 1000$ wireing lights outlets siding roofing and main skeleton....an ive got a nice lead on enuf to extend out as i made it very modular

Finished strapping the roof and had half of it sheeted Friday night, finished sheeting it Saturday Morning and had all the metal on Saturday afternoon. Busy weekend. :p

The ridge cap is just a temp as the correct ridge cap is on back order. Should see it next week.

This weekend will be wrapping it and trenching in natural gas line, Yes I've made my heating decision. :D 30,000BTU hanging forced air natural gas heater.
