Building Project.

We're waiting for the pics of the concrete curing..

This is a cool thread. Keep the updates coming.

Hourly pics? Or is daily alright? :D

Those last two pics the concrete is cured enough to walk on already.

I'm thinking something like the infrared heater Jass posted is right up my alley. The little electric element space heater I have now is a drop of piss in the ocean now. :D

That heater I posted is not a standalone unit, Dipster. It's more a supplemental-type unit, so your main source of heat doesn't have to work so hard. I thought about getting one of those for my own garage, but my furnace only kicks on once every 40 minutes or so while I'm out there working, so it's pretty efficient already.

OH! I didn't know that. :hmmm:

Would love to get a natural gas radiant rail heater installed but plumbing the gas line in is really expensive. Still might go that direction one day because it would be the best.

I hear ya Resto....I grew up in rural area on a couple acres with a big shop and land to spare. Now I live in suburbia with a single car garage, and a shed, to house all my car addiction crap. Ah well one day I will get a better set-up.

I'm more then a little jealous of your new shop there Dippy....

2 rows of block (between the slab and the walls) are code here for frost .

Here there cannot be anything between the wood wall and the slab. If there was to be a short foundation wall it would have to poured in one piece with the slab.

I said no to a house with this in the backyard.

..and it had a 3 car garage attached to the house.

Yet, I was the one that pointed out that the house didn't have a dining room, living room at all, nor a decent rec room. :doubt:

kick yourself in the nuts..right now!!! god turning that down....

Well if it was me I'd only have one nut to hit...the other would have been traded for that shop and house. The house could always be renovated...and then the wife could have had it built exactly "her" way.
