Building Project.

69.5 couldn't be more correct... and 41°F on a slab is cold. I would never consider anything below 50°F, but I prefer even a couple of degrees above that.

I work in my garage in Sorels in the winter. It doesn't matter how warm it might be, if I don't keep the slab above 50° it's miserable.

Thermostat set at 10*C (50*F). No I can paint in there at leisure now. :D

cooling would be easy..get freezer..run lines into the side of the freezer lots of coils or zigzag etc ..theres your cooling...but condensation UGH

nope you want gable end fans 1 to pull air in 1 to pull air out..or an ac unit on 1 end with a fan on the other..also a ceiling fan top dead center in a high ceiling aplication does WONDERS in the winter to push the heat back down to you

Stretch, are you going to put it in a window, or permanently mount it in a wall? I was thinking of cutting a hole to permanently mount mine in the wall facing the alley. That way it'd be in shade all the time, saving it a little work.

I have the same issue, only thing is mine is an attached garage. I have to either cut a hole in the brick on the north side of the house or cut a hole and mount in in the back (west side) under the covered porch, which would look ghetto IMO...

I am going to eliminate a window and mount it permanently in that opening. I keep the windows covered with insulation year round anyway. (I don't want people to be able to see my stuff) I am going to build an easily removable insulated box to cover the unit with for the winter months.

lol stretch thats what i had to do for my bedroom...since its got garage size dinky windows the only way to get even the smallest of ac units in was to unhang the windows which are up/down wood units carefully dissasemble and make a plug for the ac unit and window frame

I thought about doing that as well, but I'm not sure I want to eliminate one of my windows. Also, I thought if I could keep it out of the sun, it might work a little more efficiently... although I guess that big tree shades the west side of the garage pretty well. Might as well point the ugly bastard at the Boozefighters so they can listen to it, huh? :D

I bet the Jr. Boozefighters drink from the drippings. Brucefighter might just consider taking a shower in the drippings.:hmmm:

I hate living in town or suburbs... There is about 60' of property between me and both of my neighbors, but it's still not enough. I guess I have to wait to get the kids through at least high school before we can move back out to the country though.

I loved the place my ex and I had a few years back, you could walk out on the back porch and sight your guns on the back porch [smilie=i:

Finished painting yesterday, good feeling to be done! :giggedy:

If you come in from the dark it hurts your eyes when you turn on the lights. :D

It looks great, Dippy! I really want to paint mine. It's one of those things I never got around too since it was already pretty full when I bought the place. Obviously, I just made things worse.

Thanks guys! :giggedy:

I truly hate painting now. :D

My brother was joking about how bright it is in there and he said "Wow, this is going to make a great field hospital for the Chinese one day." :D
