Bike rideers check in here.

the vrod has such a puny tank you have to get gas about every 100 miles or less. i cant remember the exact specs, but the bike only gets about 35 mpg and has a 3.2? gallon tank or so. its under 4 gallons i know.

The tank isnt even the tank on those-its the air cleaner and velocity stacks. You sit on the tank and lift the seat to fuel it.Lower center of gavity that way. [smilie=e:

hence its size.

Poison Dart; Nothing like a good dirtbike to beat the stones out of it huh? I used to run on those (And other bikes) in the areas around here.
dartsportsteve; Mines an 03. I had a chance to ride my buddys '04. Alot smoother. Power wise, his is only about 200miles new, so wackin the throttle was out. It was a very nice ride though. I wanna do a fat bob tank myself. An extra bit of fuel would be nice. My tank is 3.3 gallons. At 50 mpg's now, I can't complain. But another gallon is better.
Will ya swap the pipes for a set of V&H's in the future?
Heres an interesting site. http://www.sportster.org/

At a local meet/gathering, I met a guy with a V-rod. He let me sit on it and the overall feel of body leg placement was very similar to my sportster.

Poison Dart, my riding buddy, rest his soul, had one of those.....he figured he could stick with me on my modded WR 426F.....he didn't, but I had a hoot riding it after him. Fun little bike, not the kind of power I am used to, but agile! :)

i have a 2003 honda shadow spirit 750 and a 2003 yamaha yz 125....

lol... yea it had a 440 in it... the 750 runs pretty good. its my first street bike so i was happy with it... would like something a little bigger now though.....

I have a 1988 K100RS with 80,000 miles on it. Has a Supertrapp and a K&N.
I use it all the time, but now it needs some work to make it start, (stupid sprag clutch)!!
So I just picked up a small 1997 BMW F650 to have something to ride and get 50 MPG.

abodyjoe, nice looking bike in the pic. They run well.

Killer Bee I like that pic as well. If ya had your wings out, you could have gone father. LOL.
As it is now, I'm getting 50mpg's on the 1200cc Harley, no mods, stone stock. When winter comes, I'll have plenty of time to do the tach, air cleaner upgrade (Screamin Eagle) and a just done deal on V&H pipes. Met a guy at a local run. Said he swaped his out for Sampsons. Sold me his lightly used V&H's for $200.
And of course, other do dads and the like.

jodaddy1, what is that?
