What are you listening to right now?

I, in turn, saw a then-little-known White Zombie open for Pantera back in early '93. City Centre Theater in Green Bay, WI. Loudest concert ever.
They came to Portland on that tour and I REALLY wanted to go! I don't recall why I couldn't make it though. My "little brother" went though and he STILL talks about that show to this day. Jerk! :D

This is City Center Theater (later Confetti's, now closed) where I saw that show:

...and this is what both bands were set up for, volume-wise:

Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! on Boomerang. :D :D :D

The kids love it and I enjoy watching it with them. I loved it when I was a kid too.

I like this version so much better than the new Disturbed version that is getting so much air time.

Agreed. Buttflex did a really good job with this song, much better than Disturbed. But Disturbed's version is much newer, and Disturbed is and was a relevant band, something Buttflex never achieved. This is actually the only Buttflex song I like, and it's not even theirs... as I mentioned when you posted this a couple pages back, it's a huge credit to the songwriting abilities of Simon and Garfunkel. These guys didn't do much to it at all other than use louder, distorted electric instruments. That was the best way to approach it. I'm not much of a fan of Disturbed's version, personally. A-WA-ka-ka-ka! :D

Greta Van Fleet, Highway Song.

These Michigan lads are still kids--the eldest member is 21, the lead singer is still in high school--and they're already selling out shows around the US and overseas. I've heard this song several times in regular rotation on the local "rock" station while at work, but only today found out the name of the band. Through the tiny, 30'-away boombox I almost thought Robert Plant had a new single released, or maybe Zeppelin did a new one-off single. You'll figure out why within 25 seconds of the video's start.

Excellent stuff. Their current EP is on my must-find-and-purchase list.

Well, I was listening to T Model Ford, but now this is going on while I clean the house. I wonder what'll happen when his voice drops, and his dad makes him cut off the rat tail.

Seriously they're pretty good, teach the drummer some triplets and they'd sound just like Zep. But with new material.
