Banana and Peanut Butter Chew Sticks
Ingredients:

1 ripe banana, mashed

½ cup natural peanut butter (ensure it’s xylitol-free)

1½ cups whole wheat flour (for a grain-free option, you can use oat flour)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed banana and peanut butter until smooth.

Gradually add the flour to the mixture, stirring until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, you can add a small amount of water to reach the desired consistency.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.

Cut the dough into strips or use cookie cutters to create shapes.

Place the pieces onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the treats are firm and lightly browned.

Allow the treats to cool completely before offering them to your dog.

Storage: Store the chew sticks in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or refrigerate for up to two weeks.

Additional Tips:

Ensure the peanut butter used does not contain xylitol, as it is toxic to dogs.

For a crunchier texture, bake the treats a bit longer, but monitor closely to prevent burning.

You can substitute whole wheat flour with oat flour for a grain-free alternative.
