Pic of the day.

An example of overcompensating on Woodward Avenue last night:

okay, it really was cool :shifty:

No, that's over-compensation. That truck's never seen a gravel road, much less a mud pit. There should be a little diamond-shaped yellow sign hanging in the window: "SMALL WIENER ON BOARD!" For God's sake, the tires have Armor All on them!

Way bigger, nastier, and obviously-beaten trucks running around here. Hell, the FNG that starts at my store Monday's got a bigger rig, beaten half to death.

Why do I pull a utility trailer with this car?

It's a car, dammit!

Saw this while out n about today.
The hood has bronze stripes al a Hurst Olds style - but on blue (I really think the blue is painted over the original colour even on that hood)

Well, it's not a Hurst/Olds, if that helps. The H/O was built on the SX body (notchback roof) starting in '70. It might be a H/O hood, but the car's not. However, those are later H/O-style wheels (or at least center caps), from a late-'70s Olds 88 Holiday Coupe or H/O. They weren't available in '72.

doc..our trucks out this way tend to stay fairly pretty...a truck like that out here would likely see the beach a few times a year along with mud whenever possible and still shine like that for the next 10 years......except the rock crawlers lol..but your proly right that its overcomp lol

Exactly correct. :2thumbs: Neighbour goes through hopped up new F350s like candy. They look extremely well worn a few weeks after he buys 'em. There is no way to go playing in the mud for real that won't leave scars.

One tenth of a second from winning the go round at the 2009 ACTRA national finals roping.

This is awesome.
Australian artist James Corbett.
He also did the race car I have in my avatar, as well as the Moparnuts squirrel.

I wish I had talent like that.

Nice - guy here has a black/white '58 4door hardtop that he pulls a matching vintage camper trailer with him & his wife show both at out of town cruises/shows then use the camper for accomodations.

Me - I'm more of a fan of the '60s Impala/Biscayne barges. If I hadda pic a favourite '50s version it would be the '59. Even the goofy big wheels look good on this car, proving that they can work on an older car from time to time..
