...the camera staff went on strike...
1st pass, and just the warm up, we ran a picnic pass at 14.6 @ 54MPH.
2nd pass, warmed the tires, barely, slipped out of the chute and ended up with a 10.84 @ 128.15...........
3rd and final run, after dropping air in the rear rubber we settled for a 10.35 @ 129.35.:giggedy: Our best et and mph. The juice would have seen us deep in the 9's, I'm sure, with the track officials shaking their fists....
I'd be happy with mid 10's for the summer, but I'm sure I'll work my majic and have it in the high 10's.:wtf:
Gotta talk to the track officials about carrying a passenger....

Congrats Len! Well done. This was at Grand Bend? Still need some video.......:doubt:

We were at Sparta yesterday with George's Duster, Mike ran it. Got two TTs and the car ran mid 11.80s. Dialed 11.85 for 1st rd, Mike treed the snot out of his competition with a .025, had him covered by a mile, then had a brain fart and pulled high gear!!!!!! Car ran a second off.........DAMN!!! He was so pissed, we bought back in. Next round, he won easily with another great light.......020. Drew Al Hodgins (with the AMX, he's been around for a coon's age) for 3rd round and they had a really tight race, but it went Al's way. Mike was 2/100ths. off his dial, Al was 3 off. Close race. Both good lights, but Al's was slightly better. Turned out he ended up winning ET 1, so there ya go! His daughter was running their Dodge Ram in ET 3, and she also won.........great day for them.

Sure is great to be back racing again. :giggedy:

Yep. GB. Money run was happening too, but I'm no good at that. I'm like the kid. Drive it like it's stollen..........:shifty: I want to run fast each run. Sounds like you people had a good day too!:giggedy:

We decided to retire the Dart from any road duty. So. The gloves are coming off, and enabling us to get this thing to do it's thing better..... I hope.
We're gutting it now to install a much-needed, full rollcage. I'll breathe a little easier now when the kid (or me) makes that pass.
The street roller is coming out, and going in, is a custom grind from Bullet Cams. About the same lift on the intake side, but less on the exhaust. Duration is up on both sides. The ramps are much more 'aggressive'. Gone is the gentle opening/closing rates. This thing is meant to move a lot more air. Nose pressure is up to 700#, the seat pressure is at 260#. This, the man says, should help those soggy 60ft launches, take advantage of the heads and induction, and even be happier with the NOS. The idea of this exercise was to get this thing running 10.0's, on the engine. We're a little undecided about running the exhaust. It is, after all, unnecessary weight......:toot:
