Jester got a umm... erm... Crossfire

Well, I was gonna say I dig the lines on the Boxster, but, nope, not gonna say that now.

The 914 Porsche POS was the last VW to share anything with Porsche, and that was in the early to mid 70s IIRC.
I've driven a few Porsches, never for any length of time, and found them to be solid enough if that's the kind of car you like. As I've mentioned before, I'm more into the look, style and finish of a car than the mechanical workings of it. But, I'm still not gonna say I like the look of the Boxster, no way.:shifty:

:D Sorry Resto. Perhaps I went a bit far with my comment. I guess they're decent enough but I mainly see women and gay guys driving them around here,... then again Portland being Portland... :D Plus they just don't have the guts and handling like a real Porsche. That's the point I was trying to make. My bad.

Obviously you've never experienced a recent Boxster, particularly the S model. The first two years, the Boxster was a little underpowered but that's because they didn't want it to steal any of the 911's thunder. Since that time, Porsche has realized that 911 and Boxster/Cayman buyers don't generally cross-shop between models and both the Boxster and the Cayman have become pretty gnarly little machines in their own right. Though I'm no Porschephile, I'd love to own one. I find both the Boxster and the Cayman to be attractive vehicles other than the single center exhaust outlet... but at heart I'm a 911 guy. Were I ever to own a Porsche, it would be an older model from that series (911/930/935) back in the good old days of "stab-you-in-the-back-the-second-you-fuck-up" handling. I'll never forget watching the scenery going away from me--quickly--through the windshield after I lifted in a corner in my former boss' '89 930. That car swapped ends so fast I didn't even know what was going on until I was in the ditch ass-first.

Since you brought up gay, what's up with your pink headlamps? Thimply for cruithing? :bwuhaha:

They're supposed to be red actually. Not legal but meh, gotta get caught first right? ;) With the light on all the way you don't even see the red.

the first of the "new" boxters was junk pure and simple...the s and newwer ones have much improved but that first new boxter should have been labled a karmangiha

There are cars for people who enjoy the driving experience, and there are cars for basic transportation...

Most Roadsters (Boxters included) are included in the former. Gay or Girly, if it makes you feel one with the machine... I'm in that fucker :)

Crossfires are cute!....and only a little bit gay:shifty:

Seriously, anything with a manual trans these days is cool...too many girly-o-matics around.

Jester has been known to harness the power of the gaymobile. His last daily driver was a Chevy Tracker...

Gays have good taste
