Now whats up for today?? Well if you can't afford a 70 valance you have to make a 68 into a 70. Filler panels for the side 1 down 1 to go. and in the 1 pic you can see the latch tray from DCF(thanks bud) (what did you soak that in?? chit was tough to get off) Tomorrow comes the other side and trimming the valance down so it looks right. If you look down in the pics you'll see the 689 valance mounted

How are you bending that up? Is that a brake or are you beating into submission? Some pretty good metal skillz either way. :)

If you look up 2 posts you can see the metal on the small bender I have. It works OK for small stuff. Thanks.

Looking good jo.

I never did get that thing soaking - it was too big for any container that I had. I hosed it off at one point, but even then I didn't work too hard at it.

Anything stuck to it was from the years of sitting in the pile wear xl found it.

BTW, he deserves some of the credit too. I got it from him with some other parts for nothing - well, almost nothing. :shifty:

That's why I wouldn't take anything for it. I'm glad it's getting put to good use.

Ahhh, it was kinda hard to tell from the shot if that what you were doing. Brake bending I mean. :)

Well actually you can only bend 2 sides then the rest is hammer and dolly.

More work today!!
During the week I just go job hunting and reserve my weekends for using up the odds and ends parts in the shop..........anyways...........finished forming the filler panels and finished off the frame....well mostly anyways gotta put one more support brace in the center. Just ran out of scrap 1/2" tubing.
