Ummmm, I don't get it? Don't we have the same thing on the main board? Or is to keep our inane chatter in the appropriate sub forum, like here for instance? Looks pretty slick though, and I do have stuff taking up space......

We do have it on the main forum, but this is a much slicker free standing sort of deal. And it is purty. And smells new. :shifty:

And we'll have better ways to feature ads and highlight them on other parts of the site - as soon as I figure it all out. It's easy enough, It's just a time thing.

We'll eventually phase those forums out once the classifieds get going strong.

'cause they're not new posts, they're new ads...

but that's a neat idea. I'll look into what can be done about that.
At first thought, it might take a few more database calls than necessary.

The alternative is to click on the vBClassifieds and the most recent ads are right there on that page.

One thing I've noticed is I can only tell there are new ads if I watch the dates of the most recent posts in that part of the forum. How come that area doesn't get "new posts" icons? Can they be added?

BTW: I'm using the forum default style skin if it matters.

Is there a category that you can't access?

I think that's just a generic text that came with the program.

We might have some premier sections in the future. Right now it should be all wide open. Let me know if it's not.
