In over my head!
Charger mans looking for some Ideas to keep his car as safe as possible, hidden iginition locks, cut outs etc?
I've heard of a fuel line lock you mount in the floor pan from someone but can't seem to locate it or a seller.
What little tricks do you guys use & a seller of such products if you have it? Thanks Rich.

a picture of some huge mo-fo hanging on the dash
a "I am a marine" (insert whatever) logo on the dash?
picture of xl wearing a thong?

Picture of me in a crotchless Batman outfit.....:shifty:

I usually just remove the rotor from the distributor.....can crank all day long but will never fire....;)

dunno what he's working on, but if it has no column lock, first and foremost would be keeping the evildoers out of the engine compartment.

I like the "use the hi-beam floor switch as an ignition kill" idea....

69 charger
Come on folks creative thinking, headlight switch & neutral circuit sounds like ideas we can toss around!
More Ideas wanted! Rich.

2 of my cars run electric fuel pumps with a hidden in-line toggle switch. :toot:

well here my list of goodies tryed and true

first and foremost is the N safty since its a simple ground..unless you know mopars thats a great one

next is a ground wire to the coil..if the coil is grounded all the jumpering all day long wont do them any good

something else to keep in mind iskeeping them out of the hood....not easily done

fuel is a bitch unless youve gone elec and even then..whats in the float bowls will get you a lil ways if your trying to sneak off

locking battery kill switch..not a total kill but certainly not a simple bypass

"dual" battery lock outs 1 ground 1 power side.....means someones gotta hook up jumper cables and get crazy

now some "none traditional" less known

a trans lock can be used as well (only good on auto's)
a brake line lock better yet a PAIR of line locks
i was once told brake line locks come in sizes large enuf to be used as fuel cutoffs ....never looked

personaly if the car is going to sit..out comes the rotor..that bitch aint moving ..and being i have msd dizzys in most everything its not a standard off the shelf rotor LOL..you screwed..the alfa ya good luck figureing it out should you try and bypass anything..she aint no simple hotwire.....ive tryed

as for switches and such..trying to be usefull easy reach but not noticed is tricky...i LOVE flat black ultra thin rockers..you can damned neer hide them in plane sight

if you have a console your really set..as you can hide switches behind the carpeting so that you just bump the carpet..you can also hide switches in the glove box as it will look like a trunk poper..then theres the back of the ashtray if your not a smoker...who would think to look there lol consoles between the seats neer the seatbelt is a sweet spot..your reaching there anyway a flat rocker hidden there no one would ever notice

KING of hiding spots for switches......if you have a shifter boot hide them UNDER the boot...you will have to get creative with mountings but to give an example..i didnt want to cut up the console in my alfa to replace the power mirror switch with a bmw unit as the originals melt down and are NOT availible....i have a bms full power mirros switch under the boot this is the typpe that can operate either side mirror....imo the shuifter boot is king of hiding in plane sight..

another oddity is a seat belt end from a newwer car..so that it has the 2 wires in it knowing the seatbelt is put in place..use it as a kill switch..somone steeling the car is not likely to buckle in before trying to get it fired

theres also a nice varity of switches you can mount under the carpet behind the brak pedal so as not to be seen but quickly accessed even with a possible thief in the car they wouldnt know you hit the switch

Line locks that will stay engaged with no power to them are very, very expensive. They're used in heavy equipment as parking brakes, and they used to be around $80--but then the Feds stepped in and said they have to have pressure-loss alarms. Last I looked into 'em, they were over $400. Still cheaper than losing the car, I suppose.

I had a keyed switch in the console of the Black Bitch to turn off the electric fuel pump. They would've gotten a few blocks on the fuel in the float bowls, but then they'd be dead in the water. Then again, that car never got to the point where anyone would want to steal it, so even that was overkill. :D

Hidden switches will work as well, but the simple fact is that if it's being stolen by pros, they're gonna get the car. A car they can't start is no match for a roll-back truck or the ease with which older cars can be hotwired.

My single-best suggestion? Park it with the steering at full lock and put a Club on the steering wheel. Install the Club with the long end pointing at the corner of the trans tunnel and floorpan... yes, even in the garage. Nothing's foolproof, but the Club is not only an ounce of prevention, it's a pound of deterrent. Any thief will know the car's gonna be a chore to steal and will likely move on to an easier target. Being tricky is always fun, but sometimes being obvious is more effective.
