Why does everything have to be so damn difficult?

I found a Dana 44 front axle for my '96 Ram on ebag.
"DANA 44 FRONT AXLE 3.54 RATIO 1998 DODGE 1500" is the description.
He even has a picture of the whole axle. Starting bid was $75, shipping was $50...
Thought "cool, it will only cost $50 to ship an axle from Florida to Michigan....he must really want it gone"
I emailed the seller & asked if I could buy it before the auction ended. In the meantime, I bid on it.
Now I get an email from him stating that it's just the ring/pinion/carrier for $75 + $50 shipping
[smilie=a:.
Got another email from him stating he would sell what is left for $125....that's fine, as long as I have a housing...BUT he "couldn't be responsible for shipping something that big & I would have to arrange shipping"
WHATTHEFUCK!!!
You put a picture on EBAY of the WHOLE damn axle with the description mentioned above KNOWING people all over the planet look on ebay & don't want to even attempt to ship anything but the feckin ring & pinion!!
If I end up having to drive to 2000 miles to Florida for this damn axle, I'm gonna be a bit upset.
Anyone know exactly how I am supposed to "arrange shipping" & what I'll have to fork over for it?
%#^%^%@**^%^!!!

I dont understand-cant you just remove the bid since its false advertising all the way? [smilie=e:

Thing is I REALLY need the axle... & it's at least $500 cheaper than anything I can find around here.
He only wants $125 for it, but the freight is my problem...

Well...heard back from him, he apologized for the misunderstanding & it looks like things can be worked out.

I will take a look at the greyhound site; thanks!

What's wrong with yours??

Can he ship it in pieces?? Sounds like he was gonna take it apart to ship the parts...

BTW carriers for dana 44s are dirt cheap ( like $40 -- suprised me ), at least for the old style ones, if they haven't made any ridiculous changes ( wouldn't suprise me ) Used ring and pinion ain't worth jack, either, IMO...

Here's an Idea Cooter, Call Jayco or Coachman or any other RV manufacturer in the Michiana area. They are hauling a bunch of travel trailers and fifthwheels down there now because of the hurricanes, and running back up empty.

Mine has a bent housing & busted stub & inner axleshaft(s). The cheapest axleshaft assembly I've found is $70 & a 2 hour drive.
Ring & pinion aren't worth squat to me either...mine are good! lol

V8 - That's not a bad idea! I'll try that too
thanks!
