What the heck have I been up to?

Ya, I'm still around. Been busy elsewhere and figured I should check in with ya'll. ;)

It seems I've lost interest in cars as a hobby, the RR has been collecting dust as a result. Working on cars all day long for a living has pretty much ruined the fun it seems. So, what to do? Back to my other passion, motorcycles. I can't seem to get enough of 'em these days and as a result I brought home another one a month ago and have been riding it ever since, winter be damned!

Meet Fugly... my '06 Kawasaki KLR.

Found a cool cell tower access road to play on and get a little muddy..

I'm having way to much fun with this one and it's still pretty clean in these pics, as of today it's a nice dirt brown. [smilie=i: I've been commuting to work pretty regularily with it since the first week of February, even when it's snowing! Really looking forward to the spring thaw and some extensive trail riding this summer, Yee-Haw!

Cool!
I just finished reading Ghost Rider by Neil Peart and have gained a better understanding of them goofy looking BMW bikes - not a Kawasaki, I know, but have a bimmer too yes? That made me think of the book.

The rest of the story is pretty eye-opening as well.

Yeah, I have a Beemer also...an LT the big touring missile and my Bandit for hooligan activitys. :shifty: I've been lusting bad for a GS (see attached pic) and was going to trade in the big Beemer in for one but decided I'ts probably best to get a cheap and simple bike for thrashing off road and the KLR fits perfectly. What I'm finding out though is that an inexpensive bike can quickly become expensive, customizing a KLR is an addictive habit it seems. The UPS guy has been stopping by weekly with a new do dad to add on...it's a sickness I'm tellin ya. :D
