Wait... GM makes a good decision?

Plain a simple, it may be a re-badged Holden Commodore, for those of you who dont know what Holden is, it's a fairly Hi-Po GM division based solely in Austrailia that puts out some WICKED cars. Well GM finally pulled their heads out of their asses and this is what they are replacing the Grand-Piss with. The Basics: RWD Sedan, V8 (350+ HP), with a manual transmission being an option. Go figure, The head honchos at GM cant think up anything creative so they just re-badge somebody else's good idea. IMHO it's pretty sweet looking, except the front end, FUGLY, that and the rims are gaudy. Besides that It's the first GM product I kinda like. If this is the way the family sedan market is going, I'm liking it... Hopefully DCX will be close to follow (5 speeds for the LX platform?).

Looks like a beefed up 4 door GTO to me. Nice to see something with some "attitude" for once though.

couldnt Agree with ya more 69.5, I read a story somewhere that said that GM was thinking about bringing in the Ute as the new El Camino... scary thought.

Saw the Aussie "El Camino" around the time the mid 90's Impala's came out. It was based on that. Actually it looked pretty cool! :)

yeah if you go looking for ANY make of ausie UTE there all pretty good looking rigs...especialy the newwer ones..but even the 40s mopars looked wicked..and i HATE the el-camino..and most ranchero's

IMO the ausie UTE's look more refined and have a subaru brat or early ford falcon look to most of them

I really liked those Suby Brats. Especially the last ones with the rectangular headlights and the T-tops.

What? They were kick ass trail buggies that could go just about anywhere... as long as there was enough real metal still left under the rust to hold it together. :p

i too LOVE the brat...if memory serves..86 was the last year....mom test drove one and made the deal sit in the back with me up front...bad lil rides for there time....she ended up getting a GL10

Couldnt agree more, my cousin has a late 80's Brat with T-tops and this thing literally is in mint condition. First time i saw it i thought it was ugly but now it's sort of grown on me.

Ever seen a Brat on 33's? ;) Saw one a few years ago and while kinda silly lookin, it was full of attitude at the same time. :gaga:Assuming it was a home made lift? Never seen a lift kit for a Subaru. :hmmm:

Google'd a pic of one.:gaga:

one look at that and i see 6 lug..so its something else under it..HOWEVER there are 3 that i can go find right now(wagons) that are wearing 28.5 8.50s and look mean as all hell

my moms brother used to drive a brat.... i think they're ugly... but could you imagine one with the wrx motor and awd setup? that'd be pretty sweet!

they are 4wd from the factory...and ive seen some of those older engine wrung out to stupid power.........bet a wrx would be a direct bolt in
