Cars that is! I've been making some MAJOR headway in my quest to thin the herd (Which some thought is not possible, BTW). This week I managed to kill two cars, err, trucks. One was a basic ragged out '86 D-150 longbed. Got $120 out of just the cab and chassis, no drivetrain, bed, or doors. Not bad!
I managed to kill more than just a truck today. Managed to light up the west lots and killed a lot of dead grass! Luckily the only damage done was to the yard and my pride! No vehicles were harmed in the killing of the grass! We were torching off the supports on a ragged out '77 stepside (nothing special!) so my buddy could keep the bed and a spark ended up behind us and it took off in the dead weeds and grass!
So that truck is dead and gone now, in the masher pile. In the past three weeks these have also been killed off:
'71 Demon shell
'78 Monaco 2-dr rust bucket
'65 Fury III 4-dr
'95 Dakota SWB beater (NOT MY DRIVER!)
Next to go is a wrecked out '92 longbed cab and chassis (After I strip out the trim, gas tank and lines, and wiring) as well as a wrecked out '75 Valiant 4-dr and a rusted out '78 Fury 4-dr.
At $105/ton its hard to hang onto some of these things! I'm really debating on killing off the '80 LeBaron LS that I've got. Not a bad ride but its needs EVERYTHING suspension and drivetrain wise and the interior has had its better days.
