Summit to Ont. Shipping Cost?

Has anyone from Ont. made any purchases from Summit Racing? I'm looking at buying a set of Edelbrock heads that list for $1315.us were as I can buy them from a local speed shop for $1800.cnd.
Will the shipping be too high for this purchase?:hmmm:

From what I've experienced with Summit, they use UPS and you know what that means when it comes across the border. For those heads, I'm sure UPS will take more than that price difference in their fees.

We bought a set of headers from Summit last summer, and if I recall correctly, the shipping and brokerage was around $140.00.
UPS brokered them across for us.

You know, I've heard a lot of UPS bashing over their shipping and brokerage, but for a business, they fit the bill nicely. I look at it as - if I was to take the time and go get the stuff, or even drive the five minutes to the Bridge and broker it myself (when I don't have a clue as to the easy way to broker), it would still be cheaper for me to hire UPS. They deliver right to the shop door, I give my CC number and they leave the stuff here. Takes up about ten minutes of my sometimes valuable time.

But in the end, it's better to support the local guy instead of the Wal-mart of speed shops. I know you're referring to UPS for other situations but in this one, it would be better if Bee Man stayed local.
