Spring swamp meet

Stretch

Hey! There’s no easy button for a body like this!
It's spring! I know this because even though we got well over a foot of snow a little over a week ago, Its time for Jass and I to head off to 68RT's place for the first of the bi-annual Jefferson swap meets. We refer to the spring meet as the swamp meet because it almost always rains and makes the fair grounds a muddy mess. This year the weather looks to be in the high 60's to low 70's with no rain or wind but they got over a foot of snow last week so who knows how firm the ground will be.

Lets hope we knock the ball out of the park again this year!

;)

The snow is gone, ground is dry and very little chance of any moisture. This spring meet just may end up being an exception to the norm. One week ago I had snow in the yard.Today the grass is turning green.

I found a few things I couldn't live without. It was well worth braving the cold. 32 deg. yesterday morning with a high in the mid 50's, but at least the wind was cold. It was about the same on Friday. We shall see what today brings.

We got a little something for you Bill. :toot:

oh hey, just a lil heads up theres a 71 dart at one local yard (4dr) and a 56 windsor? 4dr at the other(thought of doc on that)

I took a bit of a risk and dropped some cash on a complete '70 340. I was assured by the seller it was good. But I was very skeptical. After getting it home I pulled the plugs, they show zero signs of oil consumption. I grabbed the bore-a-scope and all the cylinders look like new. We shale see what the tear down brings.:hmmm: I also picked up a pair of grills to keep "in stock" for my charger. I managed to break one of them before I even left Jefferson. One of the mounting points got stuck between the ribs of my bed liner, when I grabbed it to move it it broke. I learned quickly and avoided doing the same to the other one (Yes, it was stuck in the bed liner ribs too).

I picked up a nice set of core big valve J heads (That I don't need), a real nice 4 speed hump for my Valiant and a spare small block B-Body A-833.

I also found the correct 273,318,340 oil pan for my valiant and a 340 engine mount.
