Rusty's not very quiet cuda progress

Kid, summertime, cast, simple as that!
Anywhoo, got back to priming & sanding today, think I'm gettin close, but what looks good from one angle gives me doubts from another, is there any special trade secrets to gettin these lines straight & crispy, I've been guide coating, tapin off one side sanding to the line, then tapin the other & so on?
or do you just keep repeating till ya say :wtf: & paint the damn thing! :shifty: Rich.

from what ive done in the past both scale and real..tells me theres only so far you can crisp a line befor your actualy building a edge out of filler, paint, and or steel..ive seen guys weld piano wire down a body line to make it crisper..thats a bit drastic imo but what i will be doing to the doors and fenders on the lloyd to shrink the gaps....you can either work that line till you die or work it till your happy with it lol

Still messin with the lines a bit, but other progress has been made, glass guy came over yesterday & installed my new windshield & my old back glass!:giggedy:

hey rusty you did shoot the final pain in the window channels befor the glass went in right so that theres "sealed" paint in the channels?

This is "RUSTY" your talkin to!;)
Por 15'd, then primed, painted & cleared, then he roughed up the paint & put some kind of black primer in there before setting the foam tape & "goop" for the lack of a better term! :) Rich.

Gotta get some new grommets & some plasti coat on them before they go on, should be ready in a year or two!:shifty: Rich.

Was trying to stay on the shady side but did brave the sun on my back long enough to get the drivers side cover on, was cooler today, still way too hot for me in the sun!

Got the drivers door glass in, most of the kick down linkage,I'm missin a bracket(or two) reset my distributor(I just had the vaccumnm advance 180*out):shifty: Hey it ran good!:toot:
Got what I hope is the final coat a prime on the hood, a little more blockin & then I can shooot paint on the underside mount it up for final adjustments & have that ready for the fall paint shoot, they figgured out my hood hinge problem, binding up down low, must not have gotton all the por 15 out of there after the "Por Incident"
A few steps closer, gotta be patient, not push too hard & make sure everything is ready this time, one final shoot, there's no more do overs for this baby! [smilie=f: Rich.
