Remember our "Garage"

When we first moved to our new home and upgraded our board software, we added in a feature called "Garage."

It worked well, but the author saw a larger need for the software and set about rewriting it completely.

That left us in a bit of a lurch because the software we had was lacking a few features.

Well, the new version is out and has a strong following. So, we upped for the new code and it just got installed. (Didn't feel a thing, did ya?)

You'll notice a new item in the second menu bar called Garage.
Click it and you'll go to out new "VBPicGallery" where all (just Mine so far) of our galleries will be listed.

You can add your Garage to the list by clicking on "Manage My vBPicGallery"

Fill in the first three lines to give you garage a description and click submit.

You will then see something like a post with a bunch of titles already typed in.

Fill in those sections as appropriate. You can delete and change any of them. It's just text and they are only suggested titles.

I would recommend clicking on submit after you're done all that typing.

Then go back into your gallery and upload pictures.

The reason I suggest submitting the text before uploading pictures is because if you upload a picture that is too big, you will get an error and all your typing will get wiped out. By the way, I cranked up the allowed picture size to 200K EDIT: now it's 300K. Don't worry about height and width, the software resizes everything down to 640 by 480. If the original is smaller, it leaves it alone.

We expect this software to live a good long life. So, fill it up and have fun.

when did that scrolling text appear. Or have i just been blind this whole time?

Yes, but we just added that today as well... it can say anythgin we want. Any requests?

Fuckinsunofabpissmeoff.

you would think I would SOMETIMES read what you write, huh?
I lost all my long winded text. Yup. Picture was tooooo big. :D

If the minimum was just a lil bigger I could show some of the pics of MY junk, but it seems to just be over the limit usually. I just dont care for hosting.:(

fyi slowview.exe when resizeing a pic generaly somehow shrinks the file size EXTREAMLY(almost like it zips the file)..even a very tiny size change has been able to cut a file size into 1/4 of what it was(ive had files fall to next to nothing on a shrink)

damn ju..i already had a listing in the old garage area

Well I have 5 on there but thats just the tip of the iceburg. I see room for 20 pics per, but it would get confusing if I attached different stuff to one vehicle.

Stupid garage... *walks off sulking*

I did it the first time, too. That's why I put that recommendation in the instructions to submit the text before trying to post a pic.. :silenced: :toot:

Let me think about it... I might be able to create a separate "special" group of users and crank up the limits....

Hey Da, what if you create a "spot" in your garage called "projects" or "other stuff" or something like that and then describe each of the cars in the text.. you can change the bold title text from "Engine" to " OMNI GLH" and put a few bullets under the title. etc. etc... then you can have up to 20 cars per "spot" if you only need one pic per..

I'll keep dwelling on cranking the limits. I'm just trying to figure out what it will do to our hosting service. I don't think disk space is an issue, but I want to be sure...

Watch the disk space...we may want to do something else that requires lots of room. :)
