Saw Big Sugar driving down the street towards the entranceas I was taking some parts out to the car but couldn't find the car whenmy son and I went lookin at the cars.
Was a great day overall. Graet weather and a 22" rad shroud for $25.

it was a great weekend at Moparfest, First time I've Done both days as well as the Cruise to Wellington's Chrysler on Saturday night.Got to see a NEW ACR Viper Totally SMOKE the clutch in the Burnout competition that was good for a smile
Great weather and Good Company ! and Probably the biggest turnout I've seen yet.
Got My 66 Striped on the Saturday By JD Graphics out of Waterloo Ont. The Charger looks Great . I'll drop a little Blurb on the Story behind this when I download some of the Pictures.
Lot's of really nice Mopars there this year !

Good show. Sunday was cloudy and cool, but only a little sprinkle of rain - most 'vert owners didn't even bother putting the tops up..
Met kamstra and bumped into firefighter.
Saw deputy at his vender spot and had a nice chat.
As I mentioned, we watched they guy stripe Big Sugar, but I didn't put two and two together until I got home on Saturday night.
Saw the car done on Sunday whil it drove out - looks very cool!! I like it.
I went shopping in the Layson's tent - something I thought I'd never do - but the stuff was there - no shipping costs and exchange was fair... so..

accelerator pedal
a couple of license plates
a few other things too.
There was a guy selling diescasts and clocks that had what I thought were pretty reasonable prices for a lot of stuff. So, I picked up a 1:24 scale diecast car trailer and "Then and Now" type of wall clock with a 69 Charger and 06 Charger - nicely done.
I also picked up a set of grille trim from Jason at the gunslingr booth. Great guy to deal with. I was actually trying to find more stuff to buy from him - but my tail panel is already done and I don't have a pistol grip car....
I was really hoping this year was my year for winning something:
Saturday's 50/50 prize was $4700
Sunday's was $5800
Good cash prize and good score for the charity.
Didn't win the Dart Swinger raffle car - someone in Waterloo won that.
Next year's cars:
Participants' grand prize: a nice 'runner - jeez I can't remember if it's a 69 or 70
Raffle car: #'s 71 SuperBee
All in all this is a great event that brings in a lot of cash for charities.
The only downside is on Sunday, we found some street parking and got a ticket for "obstructing traffic".... Okay, one tire did edge on to the road a bit, but all of the rest of the car was squarely off on the soft shoulder.
It seems the Wilmot By-Law Enforcement was jealous of all the charity money going elsewhere and decided to find a way to cash in too. They went up and down the street writing the same ticket - one car that was a couple of spots away was clearly off the road on on the shoulder - no question at all. He got the same ticket. A kid that was parker in the driveway of his brother's house siad that he parks in the same spot that I was ALL THE TIME when he visits. He loaded the driveway with cars and trucks of friends so as to keep the road available for everyone else. He's never gotten a ticket for parking where I parked.
It's only $20, but it's a pissy finish to a great weekend.

Oh, I saw 6PKBEE's ermmmm BEE in the corral on Saturday but not on Sunday.

That was definitely a highlight of the corral. I wish I had the coin to drop on that. It's truly an amazing car.
There were some real pieces of work in the corral, though....
The Panther Pink 71 Charger for 69K!?!?!?! I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's the same car that's been there in recent years - except it was red and was asking $79K!!! Both (if there are infact 2) were done by the same shop, anyway.
I did like the 68 Monaco convertible selling "AS IS" for 10K. Seems a bit stepp at first glance, but I didn't see much that it NEEDED. It could use new upholstery, but what was there was perfectly fine - just didn't look pro. However, the hood was closed and the top was down an buttoned up. I wasn't about to go digging, because I wasn't spending $10K on anything.
